(Purpose) The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship and effect of multicultural contact experiences of Korean university students on their acceptance attitude toward refugees. (Research methods) A survey was conducted on 218 college students focusing on 17 questions of multicultural direct and indirect contact experience, 17 questions of multicultural acceptance, and a total of 34 questions, and the SPSS 23.0 version was used to derive results such as differences, correlations, and multiple regression analysis between variables. (Findings) Female students showed emotionally higher acceptance attitudes than male students in terms of contact experience and refugee acceptance attitude. There were significant differences in multicultural acceptance attitudes among majors, and prejudice against refugee characteristics was higher in provinces than in the metropolitan area. As a result of correlation analysis, multicultural contact experiences and emotions toward refugees showed significant correlations in all sub-variables. The results of the analysis of the influence of college students' multicultural contact experiences on refugee acceptance attitudes showed that multicultural indirect contact experiences had a positive (+) effect on understanding refugee adaptation and emotions toward refugees, and refugee acceptance attitudes had a positive effect. Among the sub-variables of multicultural indirect contact experience, it was analyzed that multicultural education experiences and media contact influence refugee acceptance attitudes. (Conclusion and recommendations) Direct and indirect multicultural education for the general public, including college students, development of programs for mutual cultural understanding education, and cultural experience and activity programs are needed, and multicultural education should be strengthened within universities. The results of this study can be used as basic data for direct and indirect cultural experiences and educational programs and social integration policies.

(연구목적) 본 연구는 한국 대학생들의 다문화 접촉 경험이 난민에 대한 수용 태도와는 어떠한 관계가 있으며 어 떻게 영향을 미치는지 분석하고자 함에 목적을 둔다. (연구방법) 대학생 218명에게 다문화 직･간접 접촉경험 17개 문항과 다문화 수용성 17개 문항, 총 34개 문항 을 중심으로 설문조사를 실시하고 SPSS 23.0버전을 활용 분석하여 변인 간 차이, 상관, 다중회귀 분석 등의 결 과를 도출하였다. (연구결과) 접촉경험과 난민 수용 태도에 있어서 여학생이 남학생보다 정서적으로 더 높은 수용 태도를 보였다. 다문화 수용 태도는 전공 간에 유의미한 차이가 나타났고 난민 특성에 대한 편견이 수도권보다 비수도권이 더 높 았다. 상관분석 결과 다문화 접촉 경험과 난민에 대한 정서는 모든 하위변수에서 유의미한 상관관계를 보였다. 대학생의 다문화 접촉 경험이 난민 수용 태도에 미치는 영향력 분석결과는 다문화 간접접촉 경험이 난민 적응에 대한 이해와 난민에 대한 정서에 정(+)의 영향을 미치고, 난민 수용 태도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타 났다. 다문화 간접접촉 경험의 하위 변인 중 다문화 교육 경험과 미디어 접촉이 난민 수용 태도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. (결론 및 제언) 대학생이 포함된 일반인을 대상으로 하는 직･간접적인 다문화교육과 상호문화 이해 교육을 위한 프로그램 개발, 그리고 문화 체험 및 활동 프로그램 등이 필요하며 대학교 안에서 다문화교육은 강화되어야 한 다. 본 연구의 결과는 직･간접적인 문화체험 및 교육프로그램 개발과 사회통합 정책 마련을 위한 기초 자료로 활 용될 수 있을 것이다.
