The purpose of this thesis is to derive the characteristics of the community of philosophical inquiry and its moral education implications based on Ann Sharp's life and academic contributions. Sharp, who has a variety of academic backgrounds, including pragmatism, religious philosophy, and feminism, presents the possibility of broadly interpreting the characteristics of the community of philosophical inquiry, ranging from spiritual, aesthetic, political, ecological, and ethical aspects. The various educational possibilities of the community of inquiry are thought to have many implications for moral education in terms of harmony between spiritual and ethical inquiry, enhancement of the status of moral and emotional education, emphasis on aesthetic characteristics of ethical inquiry, contribution to relationship-oriented ecological education, and harmony between moral and civic education.

본 논문은 앤 샤프의 삶과 학문적 기여를 바탕으로 철학적 탐구공동 체의 특징을 살펴보고 도덕교육적 의미를 도출하는 데 있다. 실용주의, 종교철학, 페미니즘 등을 비롯하여 다양한 학문적 배경을 가진 샤프는 철학적 탐구공동체의 특징을 영성적, 미학적, 정치적, 생태적, 윤리적 측면에 이르기까지 폭넓게 해석할 수 있는 가능성을 던져준다. 탐구공 동체가 가진 다양한 교육적 가능성은 영성적 도덕교육과 윤리적 탐구 의 조화, 도덕적 감정교육의 위상 제고, 윤리적 탐구의 미적 특성 강조, 관계 중심의 생태교육에 기여, 도덕교육과 시민교육의 조화라는 측 면에서 도덕교육적으로 의미를 가진다.
