This study examines the poetry of Kim Gyu-dong through the lens of “skin sensation.” As a displaced person who lived with the pain of war and a deep longing for separated family and friends, Kim’s biographical characteristics are vividly reflected in his poetry. This is evident in the attitude of the poetic self, which seeks to bring distant loved ones closer. Drawing on Didier Anzieu’s discussion of “skin sensation,” this paper focuses on how the poetic self in Kim’s poetry resists an oppressive external world through a “psychological envelope” and expresses a desire to touch objects of affection. Additionally, this study explores how the poetic self imagines a future connected by blood ties through the psychological and physical expressions of “breath” and “blood vessels.” The poetic self in Kim’s poetry highlights the actions of fragile individuals confronting immense societal pressures (war, national division) and continually brings the bodily language of absent objects of affection (family, friends, etc.) into the present. This will to recall in the present imbues the reality of the here-and-now with meaning, conveying warmth through breath and imagining the lives of future generations. This discussion is significant in that it traces the expansion of imaginative processes in Kim’s poetic world by focusing on skin sensation. However, a limitation remains in the insufficient exploration of senses integrated with skin sensation, which is expected to be addressed in future research.

이 글은 김규동의 시를 ‘피부감각’을 중심으로 검토하였다. 실향민으로서 평 생을 헤어진 가족과 친지를 그리워하며 전쟁의 고통을 절감했던 그의 생애사적 특성은 시에서도 선명하게 드러나는데, 이는 멀리 떨어진 애정 대상들을 자신의 가까운 곳으로 불러와 그들을 어루만지려는 시적 자아의 태도에서 살펴볼 수 있다. 이 글에서는 디디에 앙지외의 ‘피부감각’ 논의를 중심으로, 김규동 시의 시적 자아가 ‘심리적 싸개’를 통해 억압적인 외부 세계에 대항하며 애정 대상을 매만지고자 하는 태도에 주목하였다. 또한 심리적/육체적 분출 작용인 ‘호흡’과 ‘혈관’에 주목해 그의 시의 시적 자아가 핏줄을 통한 미래에 대한 상상을 형상 화하는 것을 검토하였다. 김규동 시의 시적 자아는 거대한 사회적 압력(전쟁, 분단) 등에 대응하는 연약한 개인들의 행위에 주목하며, 부재하는 애정 대상(가 족, 친지 등)의 몸의 언어를 지속적으로 현재화한다. 이러한 현재적 회상의 의 지는 지금-여기의 현실을 의미화하며 호흡하고 온기를 전달하며 미래 세대의 삶을 상상하는 모습을 보여준다. 이 논의는 그의 시 세계를 피부감각을 중심으로 검토함으로써 그의 시를 관 통하는 상상력의 확장 과정을 다루었다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 다만 피부감각과 통합된 감각들을 충분히 다루지 못했다는 점은 한계로 남는데, 이는 후속 연구 로 보완코자 한다.
