This study attempted to investigate the prevalence of anxiety and depression in the elderly diagnosed with diabetes. Among the subjects of the 2022 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, those aged 65 years or older diagnosed with diabetes were targeted, PHQ-9, and GAD-7 results were analyzed. The data were analyzed after creating a weighted complex sample design file using the SPSS 29.0 program. In this study, moderate or severe depression was found in 1.0% of the elderly aged 65 years or older diagnosed with diabetes when the duration of the disease was less than 10 years and 7.3% when the duration of the disease was more than 10 years(p= .001). The degree of depression in women was higher(2.95±0.351) than in men(1.49±0.237). As the prevalence of moderate or higher depression increases with the duration of diabetes and is more severe in women, interest in the management of depression in patients with diabetes in the future is required, and early screening and follow-up observation are required.

본 연구는 당뇨병을 진단받은 노인의 불안과 우울 유병에 대해 알아보고자 시도되었다. 제9기 1차년도인 2022년 국민건강영양조사 대상자 중 당뇨병을 진단받은 65세 이상을 대상으로 하였으며, 일반적 특성, PHQ-9, GAD-7 결과를 분석하였다. 자료는 SPSS 29.0 프로그램을 이용하여 가중치를 부여한 복합표본설계 파일을 분석하였으며 유의수준은 .05 로 하였다. 연구 결과, 당뇨병을 진단받은 65세 이상의 노인에서 유병기간 10년 미만 시 1.0%, 10년 이상 시 7.3%의 중등도 이상의 우울이 발견되었다(p=.001). 또한 여성의 우울 수준도 2.95±0.351점으로 남성의 1.49±0.237점보다 높았 다(p=.013). 불안은 유병기간에 따라 유의미한 결과를 나타내지 않았다(p=.216). 당뇨병 유병기간이 길어지면 중등도 이 상의 우울 유병이 증가하고 여성이 더 심함을 알게 됨에 따라 향후 당뇨병 유병자들의 우울 관리에 관심을 가지고 조기선 별 및 추적관찰이 요구된다.
