This study is about the journey of drug addicts to enter and recover from the treatment community, and the growth background and motivation of the study participants who started the drug, the story of the independent recovery process to the community recovery process, the story of life in the recovery process, and the meaning of true recovery. To this end, it was written by Clandinin and Connelly (2000) at the three-dimensional narrative search point of time, social, and place. Participants in this study selected three adult men who have maintained a single drug for more than one year in drug addiction and have participated in rehabilitation programs and NA meetings for more than three months in the treatment community DARC (Drug Addition Rehabilitation Center). The results of the study participants' exploration of their recovery journey from drug addiction are as follows. The research results of this study were derived as “a precarious family environment that brought addiction,” “an endless downhill created by the devastation of drug addiction,” “a cycle of recovery that struggles alone on the floor,” and “a community that recovers together in the same direction.” Based on these results, it raised the possibility of drug addicts' recovery and the need to reinterpret the process, discussed the role of the treatment community and the need to provide personalized services in this recovery process, and made suggestions for follow-up research.

본 연구는 마약중독자가 치료 공동체에 입소하여 회복하는 여정에 관한 이야기로써, 마약을 시 작하게 된 연구참여자들의 성장배경과 마약중독과정이 회복으로 이어졌던 과정과 동기는 무엇인 지, 독자적인 회복과정에서 공동체적 회복과정으로 나아간 이야기, 치료 공동체에서 회복하는 과정 에서 어떠한 삶의 이야기를 구성하고 있는지, 그리고 진정한 회복의 의미에 관한 이야기를 탐구하 는 것에 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 Clandinin과 Connelly(2007)가 제안한 내러티브 탐구 절차와 시 간적, 사회적, 장소의 3차원적 내러티브 탐구지점에 위치하여 작성하였다. 본 연구의 참여자는 마 약 중독에서 단약을 1년 이상 유지하고 있고 치료 공동체 다르크(DARC, Drug Addiction Rehabilitation Center)에서 3개월 이상 재활 프로그램 및 NA모임에 참여하고 있는 성인 남성 3 명을 선정하였다. 본 연구참여자들의 마약 중독에서 회복 여정에 대한 탐구 결과는 다음과 같다. 본 연구의 탐구 결과는 ‘중독을 불러온 위태로운 가정환경’, ‘마약 중독의 피폐함이 만든 끝없는 내리 막길’, ‘바닥을 딛고 홀로 힘쓰는 회복의 굴레’, ‘같은 방향으로 함께 회복하는 공동체’로 도출되었 다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 마약중독자의 회복 가능성과 그 과정에 대한 재해석이 필요함을 제기하 며, 이 회복과정에서 치료 공동체가 갖는 역할과 개인 맞춤형 서비스 제공 필요성에 관해 연구하고 발전시켜야 함을 논의하였고, 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 하였다.
