This study aimed to analyze the relationships among nursing students' perceptions of the elderly, attitudes toward elderly care, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving ability. Additionally, it sought to examine the impact of these factors on problem-solving ability, which involves clarifying problems and exploring solutions. A survey was conducted with 191 participants recruited via a URL between February and April 2023 and the data were analyzed using the SPSS 27.0/WIN program. The results showed that nursing students with volunteer experience related to the elderly demonstrated significant differences in their perceptions of the elderly (t = 2.64, p < .01) and attitudes toward elderly care (t = 2.86, p < .01). Additionally, attitudes toward elderly care were significantly associated with clinical practice satisfaction (t = 3.12, p < .05). Emotional intelligence (β = .501) and attitudes toward elderly care (β = .214) were significant factors influencing problem-solving ability, with an explanatory power of 40.6% (F = 44.21, p < .001). This study emphasizes the need for educational programs that enhance nursing students' emotional intelligence and foster positive attitudes toward elderly care to improve their problem-solving abilities. These findings can serve as fundamental data for structuring nursing curricula and enhancing nursing students' problem-solving capabilities.

본 연구는 간호대학생의 노인 인식, 노인 돌봄에 대한 태도, 감성지능, 문제해결 능력 간의 관계를 분석하고 이 러한 요인이 문제를 명료화하고 문제 해결방안을 모색할 수 있는 문제해결 능력에 미치는 영향을 파악하고자 시행하 였다. 2023년 2월부터 4월까지 URL 접속을 통해 모집된 191명의 참가자를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고 SPSS 27.0/WIN 프로그램으로 분석하였다. 연구결과, 노인에 대한 인식(t=2.64, p<.01)과 돌봄 태도(t=2.86, p<.01)는 노인 관련 자원봉사 경험이 있는 간호대학생에서 유의미한 차이를 보였으며, 노인 돌봄 태도는 임상실습 만족도(t=3.12, p<.05)와 통계적으로 유의미한 차이를 나타냈다. 문제해결 능력에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 요인은 감성지능(β=.501)과 노인에 대한 돌봄태도(β=.214)이었고 설명력은 40.6%이었다(F=44.21, p<.001). 본 연구는 간호대학생의 문제해결능력 을을 향상시키기 위해서는 간호대학생의 감성지능과 긍정적인 노인 돌봄태도를 향상시키는 교육 프로그램이 필요함을 강조한다. 이러한 연구 결과는 간호 커리큘럼 구성과 간호문제 해결능력을 향상시키는데 기초자료가 될 수 있다.
