This paper aims to explore the contemporary significance of Deleuze ’ s concept of “becoming-animal” as a mode of existence beyond the human. Unlike perspectives that emphasize ethical relations with animal others or the biopolitical dynamics of exclusion and inclusion between humans and animals, Deleuze ’ s becoming-animal seeks to dismantle the human-animal boundary and approach all beings as relational and dynamic multiplicities. Through becoming-animal, we propose new relational possibilities beyond anthropocentrism, opening up ethical and political dimensions that transcend the human. This discussion contributes to reconfiguring ways of relating to others in contemporary society, particularly in the ethical interactions between humans and non-humans. From the perspectives of biopolitics and posthumanism, it suggests ecological and sustainable social models. In this sense, this paper examines the relevance of Deleuze ’ s becoming-animal in connection with contemporary anthropological discussions on the transformation of human modes of existence in the era of climate crisis. The ontological shift proposed by anthropology allows us to reconsider the ways in which humans relate to the world from a different perspective, encouraging reflection on humanity as transversal and interrelational beings. Ultimately, through Deleuze’s concept of becoming-animal, we explore the possibility of a non-anthropocentric coexistence of humanity.

이 글은 들뢰즈의 동물 되기 개념을 인간적인 것 너머의 존재 방식이란 점에서 그 현대적 의미를 살펴보고자 한다. 들뢰즈의 동물 되기는 동물 타자에 대한 윤리적 관계나 인간/ 동물이라는 배제와 포함의 생명 정치를 제시하는 관점과 달리 인간과 동물의 경계를 해체하며, 모든 존재를 관계적이고 역동적인 다양체로 바라보는 철학적 접근이다. 이는 인간중심주의를 넘어 타자와의 새로운 관계성을 제안하며, 인간적인 것 너머의 윤리와 정치를 모색할 수 있도록 한다. 이 논의는 향후 현대 사회에서 타자와 관계 맺는 방식, 특히 인간과비인간 사이의 윤리적 상호작용을 재구성하며, 생명 정치와 포스트휴머니즘의 관점에서생태적이고 지속 가능한 사회 모델을 제안하는 데로 나아갈 수 있다고 본다. 따라서 이 글은 들뢰즈의 동물 되기를 기후 위기 시대를 살아가는 인간의 존재 방식의 전환을 모색하는일환으로 바라보면서 현대 인류학의 논의를 참조하여 새로운 시야를 얻고자 한다. 인류학이 제안하는 존재론적 전환은 인간이 세계와 맺어온 관계 방식을 다른 관점으로 볼 수 있게 하며, 나아가 횡단적이며 상호 관계적 존재로서 인간을 성찰할 수 있도록 한다. 결국우리는 여기서 동물 되기 개념을 통해 탈인간중심적인 윤리와 생태 정치를 통해 다양한 존재가 공존하는 사회 철학적 패러다임을 열어가는 가능성을 엿보고자 한다.
