This study explores the potential of content creators as a new career path for dance majors. To achieve this, a data mining analysis was conducted on dance-related videos and comments posted on YouTube, a leading digital platform. The analysis revealed that dance-related content could be categorized into three types: performance-focused, dancer-focused, and other. Audience engagement varied depending on the content type. Additionally, a focus group interview was conducted to derive content creation strategies for dance majors. The findings suggest three key strategies: creating content that makes dance more accessible to the general public, utilizing refined filming and editing techniques, and developing educational dance content. This study is significant in that it academically highlights new career possibilities for dance majors while also providing practical guidelines for implementation. Future research should include participants from more diverse backgrounds, including experienced content creators, to enhance the generalizability of the findings.

본 연구는 무용 전공자의 진로 가능성 확대를 위해 콘텐츠 크리에이터라는 새로운 직업군을 탐색하 였다. 이를 위해 대표적인 디지털 플랫폼인 유튜브에 게시된 무용 관련 영상과 댓글을 수집하여 데이터 마이닝 기법을 활용한 분석을 수행하였다. 분석 결과, 무용 관련 콘텐츠는 공연 중심, 무용수 중심, 기 타 범주로 구분될 수 있으며, 대중의 관심은 콘텐츠 유형에 따라 차이를 보였다. 또한, 무용 전공자들의 콘텐츠 제작 전략을 도출하기 위해 포커스 그룹 인터뷰를 실시하였으며, 그 결과 대중이 쉽게 이해할 수 있는 무용 콘텐츠 제작, 세련된 촬영 및 편집 기법 활용, 무용 교육을 위한 콘텐츠 개발의 세 가지 전략을 제안하였다. 본 연구는 무용 전공자의 새로운 진로 가능성을 학문적으로 조명하고, 실무적으로 적용할 수 있는 가이드라인을 제공했다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 향후 연구에서는 보다 다양한 전공 배경 과 실제 콘텐츠 크리에이터 경험을 보유한 참여자를 포함하여 연구의 일반화를 높이는 것이 필요하다.
