This study was conducted to examine the core competencies perceived by art therapists working in the field of developmental rehabilitation in South Korea. To achieve this, individu al interviews were conducted with 15 art therapists who had at least three years of experie nce in art therapy for children with disabilities. Through this process, core competency state ment ideas perceived by art therapists were collected, integrated, and refined, resulting in a total of 53 final statements. Based on this, the participating art therapists were asked to evaluate the importance of the 53 final statements regarding the core competencies perceived by art therapists. Subsequently, a concept map of the perceived core competenci es was derived using multidimensional scaling analysis (ALSCAL) and hierarchical cluster analysis (Ward’s method). As a result, the participants perceived the core competencies of art therapists in developmental rehabilitation along two dimensions: “Art Therapy Rehabili tation Expertise vs. Common Competencies in Developmental Rehabilitation” and “Knowled ge Competencies in Developmental Rehabilitation vs. Practical Application Competencies in Art Therapy Rehabilitation.” Additionally, the clusters were categorized into five groups: “Understanding Children with Disabilities and Developmental Rehabilitation Interventions,” “Planning and Creating an Environment for Art Therapy Rehabilitation Tailored to Child Devel opment and Characteristics,”“Individualized Art Therapy Rehabilitation Approaches and Utiliz ation of Media,”“Qualities and Attitudes of Art Therapists for Children with Disabilities,” and “Continuous Effort and Self-Development of Art Therapists.” The importance rating of the core competencies perceived by art therapists in developmental rehabilitation revealed that “Planning and Creating an Environment for Art Therapy Rehabilitation Tailored to Child Devel opment and Characteristics” was identified as the most important cluster. These research findings are expected to serve as an important reference for educational institutions in deve loping effective curricula in the future.

본 연구는 국내 발달재활 현장에서 활동하는 미술심리재활사들이 인식하는 핵심역량을 알아보고자 하는 목적으로 수행되었다. 이를 위해 장애아동 미술치료 경력 3년 이상의 미술심리재활사 15인을 대상으로 개별면접을 실시하 여, 이들이 인식하는 핵심역량 기초 아이디어 진술문을 수집한 후, 통합 및 편집하는 과정을 거쳐 53개의 최종 진술문을 도출하였다. 이를 바탕으로, 개별 면접에 참가한 미술심리재활사를 대상으로 최종 추출된 53개의 핵심 역량에 관한 진술문의 중요도 평정을 실시하였고, 다차원 척도 분석(ALSCAL)과 위계적 군집 분석(Ward법)을 통해 개념도를 도출하였다. 그 결과 연구참여자들은 미술심리재활사의 핵심역량을 ‘미술심리재활 전문역량 대 발달재활 공통역량’ 차원과 ‘발달재활 지식역량 대 미술심리재활 현장적용 역량’의 두 가지 차원으로 인식하였다. 또한 군집은 ‘장애아동에 대한 이해와 발달재활적 치료개입’, ‘아동 발달과 특성에 맞춘 미술심리재활 계획 및 환경 조성’, ‘개별화된 미술심리재활 접근과 매체 활용’, ‘장애아동 미술심리재활사의 자질과 태도’, ‘미술심리재활 사의 지속적 노력과 자기개발’의 5개로 분류되었다. 미술심리재활사가 인식하는 핵심역량에 대한 중요도를 평정 한 결과 ‘아동 발달과 특성에 맞춘 미술심리재활 계획 및 환경 조성’이 가장 중요한 군집으로 확인되었다. 이러한 연구 결과는 향후 교육기관이 효과적인 교육과정을 개발하는데 중요한 준거로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
