Our study aims to explore which factor is a crucial source of stress for teachers to be insulted by students in the Korean middle school context from a social-ecological perspective. Based on TALIS 2018 Korea data, results of multivarate regression analysis demonstrated that gender(female), novice teacher and achievement pressure are a risky factor for teacher stress. On the other hand, friendly relationships with students, job satisfaction, and a cooperative school climate were found to mitigate their stress. Key results were further discussed for policy implications in terms of advocating teachers' rights, particularly for young female teachers. In conclusion, we argued that a human right-based approach is necessary to improve socioemotional well-being among school community members suffered from academic competition, meritocracy and credentialism.

본 연구는 사회생태체계적 접근에서 우리나라 중학교 교사의 교권침해 스트레스에 영향을 미치는 요인을 탐색하는데 주요 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 OECD의 TALIS 최신 한국자료(2018)를 바탕으로 다변량 회귀분석을 수행한 결과, 중학교 교사의 교권침해 스트레스는 성별, 초임경력, 학업성취 압박에 의해 강화되는 것으 로 나타났다. 반면 학생과의 우호적 관계, 교직 만족도, 교직관과 협력적 학교풍토 는 교권침해 스트레스를 완화시키는 것으로 파악되었다. 주요 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 결론에서는 교권침해 스트레스 강화 요인으로 도출된 성별과 경력을 고려한 교권보호를 위한 정책적 시사점을 논의하였다. 끝으로 지속가능한 다문화 사회 구현을 위해 요구되는 교육 주체 간 상호 존중과 사회 전반의 인권의식 함양 의 중요성을 주장하였다.
