Tomb No. 9 in Sinchon-ri, Naju, Jeollanam-do, is a historical s ite representative o f ancient tombs in Bannam. The Naju National Museum permanently exhibits the g ilt-bronze shoes excavated from this historical site and conserved around 40 years ago. Over this time, problems emerged because of the deterioration and instability of the restoration material. Re-restoration efforts were then undertaken to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the opening of the Naju National Museum. The Fiber Reinforced Plastics(FRP) restoration material was removed after it was identified as an impediment to t he e xhibit. Also, 3D scan d ata were i ntegrated b ased o n CT d ata to perform t he restoration modeling of the deletion. Subsequently, 3D printing of the deletion significantly reduced the time r equired for t he attachment a nd restoration. In addition, w hile d etaching t he previously conserved pieces, this re-restoration effort estimated the proper location of incorrectly attached pieces as much as possible. The re-restoration proced ure ascertained a range o f points a t the top of the left shoe. However, further art history research is mandated because earlier restoration efforts failed to id entify t his range. This study utilized digital t echnology t o re-restore metal artifacts. I n particular, this study was the first to apply 3D printing and can serve as basic data for the application of restoration materials for metal artifacts.

전남 나주 신촌리 9호분은 나주 반남고분군을 대표하는 유적으로, 이 유적에서 출토된 금동신발은 국립나주박물관에서 상설전시되고 있다. 이 금동신발은 약 40여 년 전에 보존처리 하여 복원재의 열화 및 안정성 문제가 대두되었고, 국립나주박물관 개관 10주년을 기념하여 재복원하였다. 전시 저해요소로 지적받았던 복원재를 제거하고, CT 데이터를 기반으로 3D 스 캔 데이터를 통합하여 결손부 복원 모델링을 수행하였다. 후에 결손부를 3D 프린팅함으로써 접합⋅복원에서의 시간을 크게 단축했다. 이전 복원재를 해체하는 과정에서 위치상 잘못 접합 되어 있던 조각들은 가급적 올바른 위치에 추정 복원하였고, 이번 복원을 통해 이전에는 파악 되지 않았던 상연(上椽) 최상단의 점열문 등을 확인할 수 있어 추가적인 미술사적 연구가 필요 할 것으로 판단된다. 본 연구는 금속유물에 디지털 기술을 활용하여 재복원하였는데, 특히 3D 프린팅을 처음 시도함으로써 금속유물 복원재 적용에 대한 기초자료로 활용되기를 기대한다.
