Purpose: Considering the increasing demand for demolition works and the associated risk of accidents, the government enacted the Building Management Act in 2020. However, continuous collapse accidents indicate the need for improvements in safety regulations for demolition works. This study aims to identify the issues in the current system for ensuring the safety of demolition works and to propose solutions for improvement. Method: The study examines the demolition supervision system and reviews relevant laws and regulations related to demolition works to analyze the causes of safety accidents and the associated issues. Result: While the government swiftly introduced measures for safety management and legislative improvements for demolition works, fundamental actions to address the root causes of accidents have been insufficient. The specific areas for system improvement are as follows: Introduction of clear regulations for demolition design and supervision duties, Establishment of criteria for assigning contractors and supervisors for demolition works, Implementation of a training system for demolition contractors. Conclusion: By addressing the identified problems within the demolition system, the efficiency of law enforcement can be improved, ensuring safer demolition practices and ultimately safeguarding public safety.

연구목적: 건축물 해체 공사의 안전성을 확보하기 위한 현행 제도상에 미비점이 노출되어 이를 분석하 여 개선 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 연구방법: 건축물 해체 공사 감리제도를 고찰하고 건축물 해체 관련 현행 관계 법령을 검토하여 안전사고의 원인과 문제점을 분석하였다. 연구결과: 제도개선의 구체적인 내용은 1) 건축물 해체 공사 안전 관리체계 개선의 방향성 2) 건축물 해체 공사 시공자의 업무 및 관리인 배치 기준 마련 3) 건축물 해체 공사 시공자의 교육제도 도입 등 3가지로 분석되었다. 결론: 건축물 해체 공사 제도에서 나타난 문제점을 일부 개선하여 법 집행의 효율성을 도모하고 건축물이 안전하게 해체 될 수 있도록 하여 국민의 안전을 확보하여야 할 것이다.
