This study analyzes research trends on online platform regulation from 2012 to 2022 using topic modelling, a text mining technique. Based on 640 academic papers, seven key topics were identified, including platform self-regulation, consumer protection, data-driven technology, and stakeholder engagement. The analysis shows that regulating the monopolistic tendencies of platforms is essential to promote fair competition and safeguard consumer rights. Moreover, it emphasizes the importance of a balanced approach that fosters innovation while ensuring the effectiveness of regulations. The findings offer valuable insights into the evolving landscape of online platform regulation.

본 연구는 2012년부터 2022년까지의 온라인 플랫폼 규제에 대한 연구 동향을 텍스트 마이닝 기법 중 토픽 모델 링을 활용해 분석하였다. 640편의 논문 초록에서 주요 키워드를 추출하고, 플랫폼 규제와 관련된 7개의 주요 토픽을 도출하였다. 분석 결과, 플랫폼 규제의 자율성, 소비자 보호, 데이터 기반 기술의 발전, 이해관계자 참여 등이 주요 이슈 로 확인되었다. 연구는 플랫폼 산업에서의 독점적 지위를 규제함으로써 공정한 경쟁을 유도하고, 소비자 권리 보호를 강화해야 한다는 점을 강조한다. 또한, 기술 혁신을 저해하지 않으면서도 규제의 효과를 극대화할 수 있는 균형 있는 접근이 필요함을 시사한다.
