This thesis analyzes and reviews the current research situation of Korean traditional philosophy in China. Firstly, it discusses the development of Korean traditional philosophy and Korean studies in China by focusing on the contributions of relevant research institutions and representative scholars. In the second part, it focuses on China's research status of Korean Confucianism, especially Toegye Studies and Yulgok Studies. At present, China's research on Korean Confucianism has surpassed the primary stage in quantity, but it is still difficult to evaluate new academic breakthroughs in quality. Although there have been a lot of research results, the research methodology still mainly stays at the level of 1980s and 1990s. Although a large number of similar papers are published annually, they lack new research methods and fail to create new academic achievements. Therefore, while promoting academic exchanges, it is necessary to introduce new research methods to promote the further development of research.

이 논문은 중국에서의 한국 전통철학 연구 상황에 대한 현재적 진단이자 일종의 회고이다. 따라서 여기에서는 중국에서의 한국 전통철학, 좁게는 한국유학의 발전 과정이 어떠했는지, 또 그 발전 과정에서 연구의 양상이 어떠했는지를 살펴보고자 하였다. 이 명확한 주제를 논증하기 위해 본론의 첫 번째에서는 한국 전통철학의 연구 현황이라는 소주제 하에 중국에서의 한국학과 한국 전통철학의 연구 및 구체적으로 어느 연구기관에서 연구를 진행하였고, 대표 학자들이 누구였는지를 고찰하였다. 이어지는 본론의 두 번째 부분에서는 중국의 한국유학 연구 현황을 퇴계학과 율곡학 연구 상황에 초점을 맞추고 논의를 진행하였다. 중국에서의 한국유학 연구는 양적 측면에서 볼 때 이미 초보적 단계는 넘어섰다. 하지만 초보적 단계를 넘어섰다 해서 질적 측면에서의 새로운 학술적 발전을 이루었다고 평가하기는 곤란하다. 중국과 한국의 유교철학에 대한 연구 방법론은 지금도 1980년대나 90년대의 방법론을 넘어서지 못하고 있는 것이 실정이다. 양적 측면에서는 기존과 유사한 자매품과 같은 논문이 산더미처럼 매년 증가하지만, 어떤 새로운 연구 방법론에 의한 새로운 성과물의 창출은 아니었다. 이 때문에 향후 양국 간의 빈번한 학술교류를 더욱 진전시켜 가면서 상호 간의 새로운 연구 방법론에 의한 새로운 연구성과물의 도출이 요구되고 있다.
