The purpose of this article is to investigate knowledge structure of the Korean politics of education through books and articles. The Korean Society for the Politics of Education was established in 1994. The Politics of Education Association(USA) was established in 1969. Knowledge structure and scope of the Korean politics of education are reviewed by contents of books and research areas of articles. And its critiques are reviewed in the fields of identity, researcher participation, research contents, and research methods. And developmental problems of the Korean politics of education are suggested as follows: ① Identity of Korean politics of education should be established. ② Members' contribution to the journal should be increased. ③ Speciality studies for Korean politics of education should be emphasized. ④ More graduate students should be educated through more diverse subjects related with the politics of education. ⑤ More text books should be published.

본 논문은 한국교육정치학의 지식 구조를 발간된 저서 및 교육정치학연구지에 게재된 논문들을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 먼저 미국과 한국의 교육정치학회의 창립과 발전과정에 대하여 살펴보았다. 다음으로 한국교육정치학의 지식의 구조와 범위, 그리고 그에 대한 비판을 제시하고, 마지막으로 한국교육정치학의 발전과제들을 제시하였다. 한국교육정치학회는 1994년에 창립되었다. 학술저서나 논문들을 통하여 교재내용 및 연구영역 중심으로 한국교육정치학의 지식구조를 파악하여 보았다. 이에 대한 비판을 정체성, 학자들의 참여, 연구내용, 연구방법 측면에서 살펴보았다. 한국교육정치학의 발전과제로 다음과 같은 것들이 제시되었다. 정체성 확립을 위해 분석의 틀 제시와 함께 기본 개념, 연구대상 영역 등이 확정되어야 한다. 학회모임이 활성화 되고, 학회지에 대한 투고가 증대되어야 한다. 한국교육정치학의 특수성에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 대학, 대학원 과정에서 교육정치학 관련 과목개설을 통한 후진 양성이 필요하다. 그리고 교재의 개발이 중요하다.
