Various policies have been implemented to respond to the trend of service-oriented economic transformation, yet the development outcomes of the service industry remain limited. Service R&D requires a distinct approach from manufacturing R&D due to its unique characteristics. This study analyzes patent performance data from the Knowledge Service Industry Technology Development Program of the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy. Using IPC code-based patent network analysis, the study explores key convergence technologies and technological convergence structures. The analysis reveals that business models and business-related data processing technologies exhibit high centrality, and the increasing significance of AI-related technologies has led to their growing centrality. Additionally, service R&D integrates various fields to provide services tailored to industry-specific characteristics based on information and communication technologies. Rather than focusing on specific technological innovations, service R&D serves as a foundational technology for diverse service implementations. Based on these findings, this study highlights the need for policy support to facilitate demand-driven service development and emphasizes the importance of integrating consumer-driven innovative ideas with interdisciplinary knowledge. The findings of this study can serve as a valuable resource for future service R&D technology development and policy formulation.

경제의 서비스화 추세에 대응하기 위해 다양한 정책이 추진되었으나, 서비스 산업의 발전 성과는 여전히 제한적이다. 서비스 R&D는 서비스의 고유한 특성상 제조업 R&D와는 차별적인 접근이 필요하다. 이에 본 연구는 산업통상자원부의 지식서비스산업기술개발사업을 대상으로 특허성과 데이터를 분석하였으며, IPC 코드 기반의 특허 네트워크 분석을 통해 핵심 융합 기술과 기술 융합구조를 탐색하였다. 분석결과 비즈니스 모델 및 비즈니스 관련 데이터 처리 기술이 높은 중심성을 보였으며, 최근 AI 관련 기술의 중요성이 증가함에 따라 해당 기술의 중심성도 높아지고 있음을 확인하였다. 또한, 서비스 R&D는 정보통신 기술을 기반으로 업종별 특성을 반영한 서비스 제공을 목표로 다양한 분야와 융합되며, 특정 기술 혁신 보다는 다양한 서비스 구현을 위한 기반기술로 활용되고 있음을 확인하였다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로, 실질적인 수요 중심의 서비스 개발이 이루어질 수 있도록 정책적 지원이 필요하며, 소비자 중심의 혁신적인 아이디 어와 다분야 지식을 융합하는 접근 방식이 요구됨을 정책적 시사점으로 제시하였다. 본 연구는 향후 서비스R&D 기술개발 방향 및 정책 수립에 유용한 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
