This study is a theoretical study that explores the direction of the dance industry in the era of Low fertility rate and population aging and proposes directions, and a literature study was conducted. To this end, we focused on examining issues that need to be discussed, focusing on previous studies, and exploring directions that the dance industry should seek, and the results are as follows. First, it is necessary to establish a dance education roadmap for lifelong education according to changes in the life cycle due to low fertilityrate and population aging. Second, it proposed planning dance content that encompasses generations that can be sympathized with and enjoyed by all generations, and third, it insisted on the importance of developing high value-added products that combine dance and technology in accordance with the Fourth Industrial Revolution such as AI and the metaverse. This study is meaningful in suggesting the direction of the dance industry by considering and exploring ways to stably grow the dance industry that can change rapidly based on social issues related to low fertility rate and population aging.

본 연구는 저출산 및 고령화에 따른 인구구조 변화에서 무용 산업의 방향성을 탐색하고, 무용 산업의 지향점을 모색하는 연구이다. 이를 위해서 선행연구를 중심으로 논의가 필요한 쟁점들을 살펴보고, 무용 산업이 모색해 야 할 방향성 탐색하는데 중점을 두었으며, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫 번째, 저출산과 고령화에 따른 생애주기 의 변화에 따라 평생교육을 위한 무용교육 로드맵 구축이 필요하다. 두 번째, 전 세대가 공감하고 향유할 수 있는 세대를 아우르는 무용콘텐츠 기획을 제안하였으며, 세 번째, AI와 메타버스 등의 4차 산업혁명에 따라 무 용과 기술이 결합한 고부가가치 상품 개발의 중요성을 주장하였다. 이 연구는 저출산과 고령화에 대한 사회적 쟁점을 바탕으로 급변할 수 있는 무용 산업이 안정적으로 성장할 수 있는 방안들을 고민하고 탐구해봄으로써, 무용 산업의 방향성을 제안하는 데 의의가 있다.
