This study to present a draft dance creation program using numbers. Accordingly, three choreographers (Muskoningham, William Forsythe, and Anne Teresa de Kiersmecker) were selected to identify their work, choreographic characteristics, and creative methodology. In particular, by analyzing the commonalities and differences between the methods using numbers and mathematical principles that appeared in the work of three choreographers, we tried to establish a theoretical basis for the program proposal. Based on this, it was intended to create a new approach in the dance creation process by adding 'immediateness' to the creative technique using the numbers of three choreographers. Through this, it was judged that the autonomy and creative expression of dance creation could be maximized within a common standard using numbers. In addition, these results can establish a systematic dance creation process through a mathematical approach and provide an important theoretical foundation for future dance creation.

본 연구는 숫자를 활용한 무용창작 프로그램 시안을 제시하는데 목적을 두었다. 이에 따라 안무가 3인(머스커 닝햄, 윌리엄 포사이드, 안느 테레사 드 키어스메커)을 선정하여, 그들의 작품 및 안무적 특징, 창작 방법론을 파악하였다. 특히 안무가 3인의 작업에서 나타난 숫자 및 수학적 원리를 활용한 방식의 공통점과 차이점을 분 석함으로써 프로그램 시안의 이론적 근거를 마련하고자 하였다. 이를 토대로 안무가 3인의 숫자를 활용한 창 작 기법에 ‘즉흥성’을 추가하여 무용창작 과정에서의 새로운 접근을 만들어내고자 하였다. 이를 통해 숫자를 활 용한 공통된 기준 안에서 무용창작의 자율성과 창의적인 표현을 극대화할 수 있다고 판단하였다. 또한, 이러한 결과는 수학적 접근을 통해 체계적인 무용창작 과정을 구축할 수 있으며, 향후 무용창작에 있어 중요한 이론적 기틀을 제공할 수 있다.
