The purpose of this study is to analyze trends in domestic and international dance research on neurodegenerative diseases to understand the clinical effects of dance interventions. A total of 152 studies published between 2000 and 2024 were analyzed using databases such as Google Scholar, KISS, and KMBASE. The results are as follows: First, dance research related to neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Parkinson’s disease, dementia, and stroke, accounted for the largest proportion and has shown consistent growth. Domestic studies predominantly focused on patients, while international studies included diverse stakeholders such as family members and caregivers. Second, an analysis of key variables by disease revealed that Parkinson’s disease research focused on improving balance and gait, dementia research emphasized cognitive function enhancement and emotional stability, and stroke research addressed physical recovery and social interaction. These findings emphasize the positive effects of dance interventions on neurodegenerative disease treatment and the need for continued development of systematic clinical programs and evidence-based research.

이 연구의 목적은 뇌신경계 퇴행성 질환에 대한 국내외 무용 연구의 동향을 분석하여 무용 중재의 임상적 효 과와 연구 경향을 파악하기 위함이다. 이를 위해 Google Scholar, KISS, KMBASE 데이터베이스를 통해 2000 년부터 2024년까지의 뇌신경계 퇴행성 질환과 관련된 무용 연구 총 152편의 논문을 분석하였다. 그 결과, 첫 째, 뇌신경계 퇴행성 질환 중에서도 ‘파킨슨(Parkinson)’, ‘치매(Dementia)’, ‘뇌졸중(Stroke)’ 관련 무용 연구가 가장 높은 비중을 차지하고 있으며 지속적으로 증가하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 연구 대상은 국내에서는 주로 질환자에 집중된 반면, 국외에서는 환자뿐만 아니라 가족, 간병인 등 다양한 이해관계자가 포함되어 연구 된 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 질환별 주요 변인을 살펴본 결과, 파킨슨병 연구의 경우, 주로 균형 및 보행 개선, 치매 연구의 경우, 인지 기능 강화와 정서적 안정, 뇌졸중 연구의 경우, 신체 회복과 사회적 상호작용을 주요 변인으로 다루어졌다. 셋째, 국내외 연구의 추이를 비교해 본 결과, 국내에 비해 국외는 다양한 무용 장르와 디 지털 기술을 활용한 중재로 확대된 연구가 이루어진 것을 알 수 있었다. 이와 같은 연구의 결과는 무용 중재가 뇌신경계 퇴행성 질환 치료 및 재활에 긍정적인 효과를 미치는 것은 물론, 체계적인 무용 임상 프로그램의 개 발과 근거기반연구가 지속적으로 확대되어야 함을 강조한다.
