This study compares the cultural content in Sejong Korean and HSK Standard Course (13 volumes, beginner and intermediate levels) to identify differences in how cultural education is integrated. Cultural content was categorized into four domains: “Behavioral Culture,” “Material Culture,” “Achievement Culture,” and “Spiritual Culture.” The findings show that Sejong Korean emphasizes practical communication through “Behavioral Culture” and “Material Culture”, while HSK Standard Course highlights “Achievement Culture” to emphasize China’s historical and societal achievements. Both textbooks lack contemporary cultural elements and cross-cultural comparisons. Future textbook development should address these gaps by including modern societal changes, regional diversity, and integrating cultural education with language learning.

본 연구는 <세종한국어>와 초·중급 교재 총 13권을 대상으로, 두 교재에 포함된 문화 콘텐츠의 제시 양상을 비교·분석함으로써 한·중 자국어 교육기 관의 언어 학습 교재에서 문화 교육이 반영되는 차이를 규명하고, 효과적인 문화 교육 이 반영된 교재 편찬 방안을 제안하는 것을 목표로 한다. 이를 위해 문화 콘텐츠를 ‘행 위문화’, ‘물질문화’, ‘성취문화’, ‘정신문화’의 네 가지 범주로 분류하여, 문화 제시 방식 과 언어 학습과의 연계성을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, <세종한국어>는 ‘행위문 화’(45.51%)와 ‘물질문화’(24.55%)의 비중이 높아 실용적 의사소통 중심의 문화 교육을 지향하는 반면, 은 ‘성취문화’(61.39%)를 강조하며 중국의 역사적·사 회적 성취를 부각하는 경향을 보였다. 이는 한국어와 중국어 교육이 각각 실용적 문화 학습과 국가 정체성 강화를 중심으로 구성되었음을 시사한다. 그러나 두 교재 모두 현 대적 문화 요소 반영이 미흡하고, 문화 간 비교 및 비판적 사고를 유도하는 활동이 부족 하다는 한계를 보였다. 이에 따라, 향후 교재 개발에서는 전통문화뿐만 아니라 현대 사 회의 변화와 지역적 다양성을 반영하고, 문화 교육과 언어 교육을 유기적으로 통합하 는 방안이 필요하다. 본 연구는 한국어 및 중국어 교육에서 문화 콘텐츠가 반영되는 방 식의 차이를 규명함으로써, 더욱 효과적인 문화 콘텐츠 교재 개발 방안을 모색하는 데 기초 자료를 제공하는 데 의의를 둔다.
