is an integrated course aimed at acquiring Korean language knowledge, improving language skills and cultural understanding skills, and personality education opened for third-year Korean language students at a four-year university in China. To achieve this goal, novels are most appropriate than genre texts such as essays, explanatory texts, and editorial texts. In addition to providing a glimpse of Korean emotions, ways of thinking, and aesthetic consciousness, the novel also offers linguistic diversity, which helps to implement the actual context in which the language operates, helps to develop the ability to internalize grammar, and improves translation ability through novel translation. In other words, in addition to language skills such as vocabulary education, grammar education, and translation education, which are currently the goals of cultivating Chinese university students, intercultural ability education, and personality education can be achieved, and the goal of cultivating foreign language talents with creative and critical thinking skills that are important in China can be realized. In this study, the value of novels in "Advanced Korean" is re-examined, and the aspects of novels included in the current "Advanced Korean" textbooks published in China are summarized, and specific textbooks are divided into language, translation, culture, and character education using novels as examples to help educate "Advanced Korean" in China.

<고급한국어>는 중국의 4년제 대학 한국어 전공 3학년 학생에게 개설하는 한국 언어 지식 습득, 언어 기능과 문화 이해 능력 향상, 인성 교육을 목표로 하는 통합과목이다. 이런 목표 를 달성하는 데는 수필이나 설명문, 논설문 등 장르의 텍스트보다 소설이 가장 적합하다. 소설에서는 한국인의 고유 정서와 사고방식, 심미 의식 등 심층문화를 엿볼 수 있을 뿐만 아 니라 언어적 다양성을 지니고 있어 언어가 운용되는 실제 맥락을 잘 구현하고, 문법의 내재화 능력을 기르는데 도움이 되며 소설 번역을 통해 번역 능력을 향상시킬 수 있다. 즉 어휘 교육, 문법 교육, 번역 교육 등 언어 기능 외에 현재 중국 대학생 양성 목표인 상호문화능력 교육, 인성 교육 목표를 달성할 수 있고 중국에서 중요시하는 창의적이고 비판적인 사고 능력을 가 진 외국어인재 양성 목표를 실현할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 <고급한국어>에서의 소설의 가치 를 재조명하고, 현재 중국에서 출판된 <고급한국어> 교재 중 소설 수록 양상을 정리하였으며 구체적인 교재를 예시로, 소설을 활용한 <고급한국어> 교육 방법을 , 언어, 번역, 문화, 인성 교육으로 나누어 제시함으로써 중국의 <고급한국어> 교육에 도움을 주고자 한다.
