With the rise of immersive technologies, this study explores the adoption of metaverse platforms in Ecuadorian higher education through an analysis of student and professor perspectives. Using text mining and word cloud techniques, the findings reveal the transformative potential of these platforms in creating interactive and engaging learning environments. Students highlighted the experiential benefits, while professors emphasized the need for tailored content and systemic support to address challenges such as cost, infrastructure, and scalability. Engagement emerged as a central theme, underscoring its importance for adoption and suggesting further exploration through quantitative methods. By addressing these challenges, this study provides actionable insights to guide the effective integration of metaverse platforms and contributes to the evolving discourse on educational technology.

몰입형 기술의 발전과 함께, 본 연구는 에콰도르 고등교육에서 메타버스 플랫폼의 도입을 학생 및 교수의 관점에서 분석하여 탐구한다. 텍스트 마이닝 및 워드 클라우드 기법을 활용한 결과, 메타버스 플랫폼이 상호작용적 이고 몰입감 있는 학습 환경을 조성하는 데 있어 변혁적 잠재력을 지니고 있음을 확인하였다. 학생들은 체험적 학습의 이점을 강조한 반면, 교수들은 비용, 인프라, 확장성과 같은 문제를 해결하기 위해 맞춤형 콘텐츠 및 체계적 인 지원이 필요하다고 지적하였다. 특히, ‘참여도(Engagement)’는 핵심 주제로 부각되었으며, 이는 메타버스 플랫 폼 도입의 중요한 요소임을 시사하며 향후 정량적 연구를 통해 보다 심층적으로 탐색할 필요가 있다. 이러한 과제 를 해결함으로써 본 연구는 메타버스 플랫폼의 효과적인 통합을 위한 실질적인 통찰을 제공하며, 교육 기술에 관한 발전적인 논의에 기여하고자 한다.
