This study attempted a new reading by applying ANT to Lee Ok’s work “Namryeongjeon”. This is based on the possibility that ‘Namryeong’ in ‘Namryeongjeon’ is not a simple object but a work that highlights the ‘action power’ that drives the narrative. Through this, the new literary meaning of “Namnyeongjeon” can be summarized as follows. First, it is an expansion of understanding of the active role of non-human agents. When analyzed through ANT, non-human elements function as active agents beyond simple symbols, and they clearly show the process of creating meaning by interacting with human agents. Second. It is an awareness of the relational network between humans and non-humans. The point is that human and non-human actors in the work interact with each other and form a network, and through this, narrative and philosophical meaning are jointly created. Third, the possibility of multi-layered interpretation of narrative development and meaning. By analyzing the role of non-human actors with ANT, we were able to see that these works can be interpreted not simply as human-centered didactic stories, but as complex narratives combining multi-layered networks.

본 연구는 이옥의 작품 ｢남령전｣에 행위자 네트워크 이론(ANT)을 적용하여 새롭게 독해해 보았다. 이는 ｢남령전｣의 ‘남령’이 단순 오브제가 아니라 서사를 끌고 가는 ‘행위력’이 부각되는 작품이라는 점에 따른 가 능성에 기반해 있다. 이를 통해 ｢남령전｣의 새로운 문학적 의미는 다음과 같이 정리해 볼 수 있었다. 첫째, 비인간 행위자의 능동적 역할에 대한 이해의 확장이다. ANT를 통해 분석할 때, 비인간 요소들은 단순한 상징을 넘어, 능동적인 행위자로 기능하며, 인간 행위자와 상호작용하여 의미를 생성하는 과정 을 잘 보여주고 있었다. 둘째, 인간과 비인간의 관계적 네트워크에 대한 인식이다. 작품 속 인간과 비인간 행위자들이 서로 상호작용하며 네트워크를 형성하고, 이를 통해 서사적․철학적 의미가 공동으로 생성됨을 확인할 수 있었다. 셋째, 서사적 전개와 의미의 다층적 해석의 가능성이다. 비인간 행위자 들의 역할을 ANT로 분석함으로써, 이들 작품은 단순히 인간 중심의 교 훈적 이야기가 아니라, 다층적 네트워크가 결합된 복합적 서사로 해석될 수 있음을 알 수 있었다.
