The purpose of this study was to investigate how shift work of security and security-related workers affects their sleep disorders, health status, job satisfaction, and work-life balance. In the 6th (2020-2021) and the 7th (2023) Working Environment Survey data, the data of 205 security and security-related workers were analyzed secondarily. As a result of independent sample t-test and logistic regression analysis, it was confirmed that only shift work had a significant effect on job satisfaction and work-life balance regardless of gender, age group, educational background, average monthly income, current type of job, and number of working years of shift workers. It was found that shift work reduced the likelihood of work satisfaction by 77.6% and reduced the likelihood of work-life balance by 80.1% compared to not working shift work. This suggests that social efforts are needed to improve job satisfaction and work-life balance of security and security-related workers working in shifts. On the other hand, a follow-up study approach is needed in relation to sleep disorders and health conditions in which no significant effect of shift work could be confirmed in this study.

이 연구의 목적은 경호 및 보안관련 근로자의 교대근무 여부가 그들의 수면장애, 건강상 태, 직무만족, 일과 삶의 균형에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보는데 있다. 근로환경조사원 자료에서 진행된 제6차(2020년-2021년) 및 제7차(2023년) 경호 및 보안관련 근로자 205명의 데이터를 2차 분석하였다. 독립표본 t검정 및 로지스틱 회귀분석 결과 교대근무자의 성별, 연령대, 학력, 월평균소득, 현 직장의 종류, 근무년수에 관계없이 교대근무 경우 만이 직무 만족과 일과 삶의 균형에 유의미한 영향을 미친다는 사실을 확인하였다. 교대근무를 하면 교대근무를 하지 않는 것보다 근무만족도의 가능성은 77.6% 감소하고, 일과 삶의 균형의 가능성 또한 80.1% 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 교대근무를 하는 경호 및 보안관련 근로자들의 직무만족과 일과 생활의 균형의 개선을 위한 사회적 노력이 필요함을 시사한 다. 한편, 이 연구에서 교대근무에 따른 유의한 영향을 확인할 수 없었던 수면장애, 건강상 태에 관련하여 후속 연구의 접근이 필요하다.
