For Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to pursue successful smart factory projects, support policies play the most significant role. Recently, SMEs have shown interest in applying manufacturing automation and systems to manufacturing sites to improve productivity by reducing losses, improving quality through automatic inspection systems, and solving manpower supply and demand problems in non-metropolitan areas. In addition, SMEs face some financial limitations, making it difficult to invest in expensive automation and vision inspection equipment, making it necessary to change the government's smart factory support policies to address these challenges. This study analyzed subsidies and trends for automation and system-related tasks undertaken by 2,221 companies over the past five years, that have promoted smart factories fostering coexistence between large and small businesses. The goal of this analysis was to determine whether a successful smart factory project could be promoted. It was concluded that policy support, technical support, and professional manpower training are necessary to enable this. It is expected that these research results will provide practical contributions to policy makers and business managers.

중소기업이 성공적인 스마트공장 사업을 추진하기 위해서는 생산성 향상, 비용 절감 품질 개선 등 여러 가지의 요소가 있지만, 그중 지원정책이 가장 큰 부분을 차지하고 있다. 최근 중소기업에서 관심을 갖고 있는 부 분이 제조현장에 제조 자동화와 시스템을 적용해서 Loss 절감으로 생산성을 향상하고, 자동 검사 시스템으로 품 질 개선 및 비수도권 지역에서는 인력 수급의 문제 등을 해결하려는 경향이 있다. 또한 중소기업은 제정적인 부 분에 일부 한계가 있어 비용이 과다하게 소요되는 자동화 및 Vision 검사기 부분에 투자가 어려운 상황이므로 이 를 개선하기 위한 정부의 스마트공장 지원정책의 변화가 필요하다. 본 연구는 대중소 상생형 스마트공장을 추진 한 2,221개 기업중 시스템 및 자동화를 추진한 최근 5년간의 기업 분석을 통해 자동화 및 시스템 관련 과제(MES, ERP, SCM 등)의 지원금이 증가하는 추세이므로 지원금 확대를 통해 성공적인 스마트공장 사업이 추진될 수 있 도록 정책 지원, 기술 지원, 전문 인력 양성 등이 필요하다는 결론을 도출하였다. 특히, 스마트공장 사업의 지원 정책은 중소기업의 경쟁력 강화를 위한 핵심 요소로 부각되고 있으므로 향후 제조업의 디지털 전환을 촉진할 수 있는 기반을 마련하고자 한다. 이러한 연구 결과는 정책 입안자 및 기업 경영자에게 실질적인 기여를 할 것이다.
