This study examines the educational and employment challenges of young Koryo Saram in South Korea. Using a mixed-methods approach, it identifies key barriers such as language proficiency, financial constraints, visa restrictions, and cultural adaptation. Despite their ethnic ties, many struggle with limited access to higher education and stable employment, often confined to low-wage jobs due to restrictive policies. The findings highlight the need for targeted interventions, including financial aid, specialized language training, and mentorship programs, to improve socio-economic integration. This study challenges the notion that shared ethnicity ensures seamless assimilation and calls for policy reforms to enhance institutional support for Koryo Saram youth.

본 연구는 한국에 있는 한인 디아스포라인 젊은 고려인의 교육과 고용에 대한 도전 과제를 탐구한다. 혼합접근 방법을 사용하여 본 연구는 언어 능력, 재정적 제약, 문화 적 적응과 같은 주요 도전과제를 제시한다. 성별에 따른 직업적 분리와 제한된 전문적 성장 기회는 통합을 더욱 복잡하게 만드는 요소이다. 본 연구는 이러한 과제를 개선하 기 위하여 언어 교육, 재정 지원, 멘토링 프로그램을 포함한 맞춤형 솔루션을 강조하 는 한편 이것을 위한 포괄적 정책전략을 제시한다.
