Takarazuka Athletic Association was a professional baseball team founded by Hankyu Railway in 1924. Until the team was disbanded in 1929, seven Korean players, namely Son Hyo-jun, Kim Jeong-sik, Ham Yong-hwa, Jeong In-gyu, Baek Hyo-deuk, Lee Kyung-gu, and Han Gi-joon, were affiliated with the team. Son Hyo-jun became a key player immediately after joining the team in 1922 and played until the team was disbanded in 1929. On the other hand, Kim Jeong-sik, Ham Yong-hwa, and Jeong In-gyu joined the team in 1925, and were also included in the starting lineup. The Korean players of the Takarazuka Athletic Association were professional baseball players with guaranteed good treatment. However, since they came from the colonies of Imperial Japan, they were under the surveillance of the authorities and played under Japanese names. However, they overcame these difficulties with their skills and continued to play as key players in various parts of Imperial Japan even after the team was disbanded. The Korean players of the Takarazuka Athletic Association, the first professional baseball players in Korean baseball history, contributed to the establishment of the foundation and system of Korean baseball in the early days, such as serving as executives of the Korean Baseball Association after the liberation.

다카라즈카운동협회는 일본최초의 프로야구단인 일본운동협회를 한큐전철이 인수하여 1924년 재창단한 프로야구단으로 1929년 팀이 해체될 때까지 손효준･김정식･함용화･정인규･백효득･이경구･한기준 등 7명의 조선인 선수가 영입되어 활동하였다. 손효준은 1922년 입단 후 주축 선수로 1929년 팀 해체 때까지 활동하였으며, 1925년 입단한 김정식, 함용화, 정인규는 각각 팀의 외야수, 포수, 내야수로 손효준과 함께 주전라인업을 구성하였다. 다카라즈카운동협회의 조선인 선수들은 제국일본의 식민지인이라는 제약 속에서 선수 생활을 하였다. 손효준은 3.1운동과 6.10만세운동을 주도했던 천도교와의 관계로 당국의 감시를 받았으며 김정식･함용화･정인규･이경구 등은 조선인 차별로 인한 관중 수익 감소 및 불상사 방지를 고려한 구단의 방침으로 한국이름이 아닌 일본이름으로 활동하였다. 하지만 이들은 이러한 제약을 극복하고 실력을 인정받아 팀 해체 후 제국일본 각지의 야구단으로 이적할 수 있었다. 김정식･이경구･한기준은 1928년 경성부청 야구단으로, 함용화는 1929년 총독부체신국 야구단으로 이적하여 조선에서 활동하였고 백효득은 1928년 퇴단 후 큐슈야하타제철 야구단으로 이적하였다. 손효준은 1929년󰠏1941년 교토마키노프로덕션, 봉천만철구락부, 만주전업주식회사, 안동실업야구단 등 제국일본 야구계를 이끌던 내지와 만주의 야구팀에서 중심선수로 활동하였다. 한국야구사 최초의 프로야구 선수였던 다카라즈카운동협회의 조선인 선수들은 해방 후 대한야구협회 임원으로 활동하는 등 초창기 한국야구계의 기틀 확립과 시스템 건설에 공헌하였다.
