This study aims to examine the differences in university students' awareness, experience, and education of metaverse platforms, focusing on the perceived value and sacrifices of metaverse platforms, as well as their intention to continue in a metaverse learning environment. The study participants consist of 181 students currently enrolled in four-year universities located in Seoul and Chungcheong Province. The analysis of group differences was conducted using the SPSS 23.0 program (t-test). The main finding was that, first, there was a statistically significant difference in the intention to continue using the metaverse learning environment, as well as in the perceived value and sacrifice of the metaverse platform, based on the recognition of and experience with the metaverse platform. In contrast, no statistically significant difference was found based on the presence or absence of education. Second, a statistically significant negative correlation was found between the perceived sacrifice of the metaverse platform, its sub-factors of innovation resistance, content quality, and technological effort, and both the intention to use the metaverse learning environment and the perceived value of the metaverse platform. These findings suggest the need to reassess the approach to metaverse-based education and propose effective strategies.

본 논문은 대학생의 메타버스 플랫폼 인지, 경험, 교육 여부에 따른 차이를 메타버스 플랫폼의 지각된 가 치 및 희생과 메타버스 학습 환경 지속 의향을 중심으로 알아보는 데 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 서울과 충청도 4년 제 대학교에 재학 중인 181명이다. SPSS 23.0 프로그램을 이용하여 집단 간 차이를 분석하였다. 주요 결과는 첫 째, 메타버스 플랫폼 인지와 경험 여부에 따라 메타버스 학습 환경 지속 의향과 메타버스 플랫폼의 지각된 가치 및 희생에 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 반면, 교육 여부에 따라 통계적으로 유의미한 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 둘째, 메타버스 플랫폼의 지각된 희생과 하위요인인 혁신저항, 콘텐츠 품질, 기술적 노력은 메타버스 학습 환경 지속 의향과 메타버스 플랫폼의 지각된 가치와 부적 상관관계로 통계적 유의성이 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과 는 메타버스 적용 교육의 접근 방향성을 점검해 볼 필요가 제기되는 것으로 효과적인 방안을 제안하였다.
