Entering the 20th century, as awareness of the practice and necessity of child baptism spread worldwide, each denomination is changing its regulations. Fortunately, even in Korean churches, although there are differences between denominations, the age for infant baptism has been expanded and child baptism is being implemented. This study began with an awareness of the problem that although the importance of appropriate baptism education is being highlighted as child baptism is permitted, the contents of liturgically important Eucharistic education are lacking in children's baptism education textbooks. This paper mainly uses literature research and comparative research methods, limits the subject of discussion to the integration of the Presbyterian Church of Korea, and is structured around the explanation and analysis of major documents published for baptism education in historical order. Specifically, starting with the current status of child baptism in Korean churches, I will describe the history of baptism education in the integrated Presbyterian Church of Korea, focusing on published books. At first, learning and baptismal questions and answers were conducted through pastoral guidelines and ceremonial books, but later it can be seen that it is developing into a separate method in the form of a baptismal question and answer book. In addition, considering that only infant baptism was included because there was no concept of child baptism at the time, it will be briefly treated as a pre-understanding for discussion of child baptism education. Next, along with a brief history of the current implementation of child baptism, we will analyze and consider the child baptism education textbooks of the Presbyterian Church of Korea from a liturgical perspective. Thus, the justification for why Eucharistic education is essential in the current children's baptism education, which is mainly focused on catechesis, will be mentioned, as well as practical suggestions for this. Ultimately, through this liturgical reflection, the purpose of this study is to make it known that Eucharistic education must be implemented in church and home for a progressive and desirable baptism education for children. Child baptism education should not be viewed as simply a miniature version of adult baptism education. I believe that we should go one step further from the current education that focuses on doctrine and provide education that includes the true meaning of the Eucharist as already revealed in the Bible and the meaning of the modern Eucharist as revealed in the BEM document. Through this study, I hope to reinterpret and educate the true meaning of the Eucharist, which has been established since the early church, and use it as a breakthrough for true spiritual growth in which the faith of the community is passed down from generation to generation through the church and family.

20세기에 접어들면서 세계적으로 아동세례의 실행과 필요성에 대한 인식이 확산되 면서 각 교단에서는 해당 규례들을 변경하고 있는 실정이다. 다행히 한국 교회에서도 교단별로 차이는 있으나 유아세례 연령을 확대하여 아동세례를 신설하여 실행하고 있 다. 본 연구는 이처럼 아동세례가 허용됨에 따라 그에 걸맞는 세례교육의 중요성이 부각되고 있음에도 불구하고, 아동세례교육 교재에 예배학적으로 중요한 성찬교육 내 용이 미비하다는 문제의식에서 시작되었다. 본 논문은 주로 문헌조사방법과 비교연구 방법을 사용하면서, 논의 대상은 대한예수교장로회 통합으로 한정하였고, 역사적 순서 에 따라 세례교육을 위해 발간한 주요 문헌들에 대한 설명과 분석을 중심으로 구성되 어 있다. 구체적으로는 현재 한국 교회내의 아동세례 현황을 시작으로 하여, 대한예수 교장로회 통합의 세례교육 역사를 발간된 책을 중심으로 서술해 나갈 것이다. 처음에 는 목회지침서와 예식서를 통해 학습과 세례문답을 거행하다가 추후에는 세례문답집 형태로 분리시켜 나가는 방식으로 발전해 나가고 있음을 알 수 있다. 또한, 당시에는 아동세례 개념이 없었기 때문에 유아세례만이 수록된 점을 감안하여, 아동세례교육의 논의를 위한 선이해로 간략하게 다루게 될 것이다. 그 다음으로는 현재 아동세례가 실행되기까지의 간략한 역사와 함께 이를 위해 대한예수교장로회 통합의 아동세례교육 교재에 대하여 예배학적인 관점으로 분석 및 고찰을 하고자 한다. 그리하여, 주로 교리교육에 치우쳐진 현재의 아동세례교육에 왜 성찬교육이 필수적으로 있어야 하는 지의 당위성과 함께 이를 위한 실제적인 제언까지 언급하게 될 것이다. 궁극적으로는 이러한 예배학적인 성찰을 통하여, 발전적이고 바람직한 아동세례교육을 위해서는 교 회만의 전담하는 것이 아니라 가정에서도 함께 감당해야 한다는 것을 주지시키려는 것이 본 연구의 목적이기도 하다. 아동세례교육을 단순히 장년세례교육의 축소판으로 여겨서는 안된다. 교리에 치중한 현재의 교육에서 한 걸음 더 나아가 이미 성경을 통 해 나타난 참된 성찬의 의미와 BEM 문서에 나타난 현대 성찬의 의미까지 포함하는 교육이 이루어져야 한다고 생각한다. 이번 연구를 통해 초대 교회 때부터 정립시켜 온 성찬의 참된 의미가 새롭게 재해석되고 교육함으로써, 교회와 가정을 통해 공동체 의 신앙이 대를 이어 계승해 나가는 참된 영적 성장의 돌파구로 삼기를 기대한다.
