To identify the nature of the support movement for Korean A-bomb survivors in Japan, this article examines the implications of their peace theory within the context of the national peace movement in postwar Japan. Section 2 briefly outlines the study’s perspective on peace theory and highlights the significance of discourse analysis as a research method. In Section 3, I analyze Japan’s national peace movements that emerged following the 1954 Bikini Atoll nuclear test, categorizing them into the Atomic Bomb Prohibition Movement and the Aid Law Enactment Movement, and characterize their respective peace theories as ‘anti-nuclear’ and ‘anti-war.’ Section 4, by contrasting it with the characteristics of these movements, identifies the nature of the peace pursued by the support movement for Korean A-bomb survivors in Japan as ‘anti-colonialism.’ I also discuss the significance and limitations of the anti-colonial peace theory through two case studies that involve the figure Son Jin-doo: the notebook trial and the theft case. In the conclusion, I examine the limitations of the support movement for Korean A-bomb survivors in relation to how the voices of the subaltern — specifically the actions of Son Jin-doo — reveal structured violence. Based on this analysis, the paper forecasts the future direction of peace theories related to historical issues between Korea and Japan.

본고에서는 일본의 조선인 원폭피해자 지원운동의 성격을 규명하기 위해, 이들의 평화론이 전후 일 본의 국민적 평화운동 속에서 어떠한 함의를 가졌는지 살펴보았다. 먼저 2장에서는 평화론에 대한 이 글의 연구시각과 담론분석이라는 연구방법이 갖는 의의를 간략하게 기술하였고, 이어 3장에서는 1954년의 비키니 수폭 사건을 계기로 일본에서 형성된 국민적 평화운동의 형태를 ‘원수폭 금지운동’ 과 ‘원호법 제정운동’으로 나누어 각각의 평화론의 성격을 ‘반핵’과 ‘반전’이라는 특징으로 파악했고, 4장에서는 앞 장에서 밝힌 특징과 대비하면서 일본의 조선인 원폭피해자 지원운동이 추구한 평화의 성격을 ‘반식민’이라는 특징으로 파악했다. 또한 반식민을 위한 평화론의 의의와 한계를 두 개의 손진 두 사건(수첩재판과 절도사건)을 소재로 논증했다. 결론에서는 조선인 원폭피해자 지원운동의 한계 를 하위 행위자(subaltern)의 말 — 손진두의 몸짓 — 이 구조화된 폭력을 드러내는 문제와 관련하여 고 찰했으며 이상의 분석을 토대로 향후 한일 간에서 역사문제와 관련된 평화론이 나아갈 방향을 전망 했다.
