This study aims to develop a problem-solving based consulting process applicable across various consulting domains, providing consultants with a concrete methodology to effectively diagnose issues and propose solutions. To achieve this objective, a systematic literature review was conducted to derive an initial draft of the consulting process, which was subsequently validated using the Delphi method. The primary findings are twofold. First, a consulting process that integrates both systematic rigor and flexibility was identified, wherein close collaboration with clients facilitates a sequence of stages—problem diagnosis, solution derivation, execution and evaluation, and performance management—that collectively enhance organizational capabilities and contribute to sustainable development. Second, a comprehensive consulting process was developed, comprising four major stages (initial meeting and determination of consulting scope/roles, problem diagnosis and analysis, solution design and development, and evaluation of outcomes with sustainability assurance) and ten detailed procedures. Based on these results, the study discusses both academic and practical implications, and suggests directions for future research.

본 연구의 목적은 다양한 컨설팅 분야에서 적용가능한 문제해결 기반 컨설팅 프 로세스를 개발하여 컨설턴트가 효과적으로 문제를 진단하고 해결방안을 제시할 수 있는 구체적인 방법론을 제공하는 것이다. 이를 위해 체계적 문헌고찰을 통한 컨설 팅 프로세스 초안 도출, 델파이를 활용한 컨설팅 프로세스 타당도 검증을 진행했다. 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 체계성과 유연성을 겸비한 컨설팅 프로세스는 고객 과의 긴밀한 협력을 통해 문제 진단, 해결 방안 도출, 실행 및 평가, 성과 관리의 단 계를 거쳐 조직 역량 강화와 지속가능한 발전에 기여하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 4 개의 주요 단계(초기미팅 및 컨설팅 범위·역할 정립, 문제진단 및 분석, 해결안 설계 및 개발, 결과 평가 및 지속가능성 확보)와 10개의 세부 절차로 구성된 문제해결 기 반 컨설팅 프로세스를 개발하였다. 이와 같은 연구결과를 바탕으로 학문적·실무적 시사점과 향후 연구 방향을 제시하였다.
