The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of Covid19 and the correlating factors. Data from OWID for all countries of the world between the advent of Covid19 December 2019 and November 2023 was analyzed. To find appropriate factors for Covid19 impact, numbers of cases and deaths, case fatality were analyzed and DpM(Deaths per Million People) was selected. Factors such as population density, elderly people ratio, health care system, national control policy and gdp per Capita as economic activy of nation were analyzed for the correlation with DpM. DpM values of World regions and income level groups categorized by world bank according to GNI per capita were compared from the start of Covid19 to November 1, 2023 to find informations for the preparation of next pandemic. Covid19 in Korea was also studied and compared to other countries for sharp increase of deaths and cases after vaccination stared.

본 연구는 코로나19(Covid19)로 인한 피해를 파악하고, 피해 정도와 연관이 큰 요소를 파악하기 위하여, 2019년 12월 코로나19 발생 이후, OWID에서 제공하는 2023년 11월까지의 전 세계 국가의 자료를 정리하고 분석하였다. 코로나19의 피해 상황을 많 은 연구 결과에서 감염자 수 또는 사망자를 중심으로 분석하였지만, 이와의 상관관계 를 나타내는 각 국가의 특정 요소가 무엇인지 명확하게 밝히지는 못하였다. 본 논문에 서는, 코로나19의 피해를 표현하기 적합한 요소를 파악하기 위하여, 감염자 수, 사망자 수, 치명률(Case Fatality) 등을 분석하고, 인구대비 사망자 수(DpM)를 피해지표로 선정 하였다. 코로나19 피해와 상관관계가 클 것으로 언급되는 인구밀도, 고령자 비율, 보건 의료시스템, 국가정책 및 국민적 수용, 국가 경제 활동의 지표로 활용되는 일인당국민 총생산(gdp per Capita, gdp/C) 등 여러 요소와 DpM의 연관성을 분석하였다. 세계 지 역(Region) 및 국가 경제 수준 그룹의 DpM을 경시적으로 비교 분석하고 주요 요인을 파악하여 추후 발생할 대유행(pandemic) 대비에 도움이 될 수 있는 요인을 알아보는 것에 목적을 두었다. 발생 초기, 백신 접종 이후 2023년 11월까지 약 4년간의 경시적 변화의 주요 변곡점을 파악하고, 한국의 코로나19 대응 및 피해를 국제적인 피해와 비교하여, 일인당국민총생산과 DpM과의 상관관계를 확인하였다.
