Licensed musicals are based on globally verified content, and are seeking sustainable growth in the domestic performance market through content development targeting various age groups and audiences. In addition, they are now established as essential content in the domestic musical industry. This study analyzed the systematic production system of licensed musicals and their influence by focusing on the domestic production case of , an abbreviated version of , a representative work among these licensed musicals, and suggested the following implications for domestic creative musicals. First, the systematic production system and stable manual process of licensed musicals can be applied to the production of creative musicals, and can contribute to creators securing stability and marketability. Second, licensed musicals based on verified content suggest a direction in which creative musicals can pursue not only commercial success but also artistic value. Third, junior versions of works targeting youth audiences and actors can help open up new audiences and increase the accessibility of performances in creative musicals. Fourth, the small-scale production method of licensed musicals that are performed only in large theaters, utilizing the small-theater environment, opens up the possibility of attempting various creative musicals without the burden of large-scale production costs. Lastly, the management of performance copyrights and the expansion of artistic personnel through licensed musicals can act as important factors for the sustainable development of creative musicals. This study confirmed the positive effects of the licensed musical performance production system through the production case of . However, since the study was conducted focusing on a specific work, it is limited in generalizing the universal characteristics of licensed musicals in general. Nevertheless, if the positive factors derived from this case are applied to the domestic creative musical industry, it is believed that it will contribute to the sustainable growth and strengthening of competitiveness in the domestic and international musical markets.

라이선스 뮤지컬은 전 세계적으로 검증된 콘텐츠를 기반으로 하며, 다양한 연령대와 관객층을 겨냥한 콘텐츠 개발을 통해 국내 공연 시장의 지속 가능한 성장을 도모하고 있다. 또한, 국내 뮤지컬 산업에 있 어서도 이제는 없어서는 안 되는 매우 중요한 콘텐츠로 자리 잡고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 라이선스 뮤지컬 중 대표적인 작품인 <숲속으로>의 축약된 버전 <숲속으로 JR>의 국내 제작 사례를 중심으로, 라 이선스 뮤지컬의 체계적 제작 시스템과 그 영향력을 분석하고 국내 창작 뮤지컬에의 시사점을 다음과 제 시하였다. 첫째, 라이선스 뮤지컬의 체계적 제작 시스템과 안정된 매뉴얼 과정은 창작 뮤지컬의 제작에 도 적용 가능하며, 창작자들이 안정성과 시장성을 확보하는 데 이바지할 수 있다. 둘째, 검증된 콘텐츠를 기반으로 한 라이선스 뮤지컬은 창작 뮤지컬이 상업적 흥행성뿐만 아니라 예술적 가치를 동시에 추구할 수 있는 방향성을 제시한다. 셋째, 청소년 관객과 배우를 주요 타깃으로 설정한 주니어 버전 작품은 창작 뮤지컬에서도 새로운 관객층을 개척하고, 공연의 접근성을 높이는 데 도움이 될 수 있다. 넷째, 대극장에 서만 이뤄지는 라이선스 뮤지컬의 소극장 환경을 활용한 소규모 제작 방식은 대규모 제작비 부담 없이 다양한 창작 뮤지컬을 시도할 수 있는 가능성을 열어준다. 마지막으로, 라이선스 뮤지컬을 통한 공연 저 작권 관리와 예술 인력의 확장은 창작 뮤지컬의 지속 가능한 발전을 위한 중요한 요소로 작용할 수 있다. 본 연구는 <숲속으로 JR> 제작 사례를 통해 라이선스 뮤지컬 공연 제작 시스템의 긍정적 영향을 확인 하였다. 그러나 특정 작품 중심의 연구가 진행되었기에 라이선스 뮤지컬 전반의 보편적 특성을 일반화하 는 데 한계가 있음을 밝힌다. 그럼에도 불구하고 본 사례에서 도출된 긍정적 요소가 국내 창작 뮤지컬 산업에 적용된다면, 국내외 뮤지컬 시장의 지속 가능한 성장과 경쟁력 강화에 기여할 것으로 사료된다.
