The central thesis of this study is to examine the hermeneutical principles of the parable genre and the key features of its original application, and on this basis, to suggest for preachers the contemporary application and a genre-sensitive sermon form of the parable of the sower in Matthew 13:1-23 and Luke 8:4-15 by focusing on the soil (the audience) rather than the seed (the Word). With this central purpose in mind, the first chapter of this study considers hermeneutical principles in the biblical parable genre, as well as the author’s intended meaning and appropriate application of the parable genre. The second chapter attempts to interpret the Parable of the Sower from the perspective that the purpose of the parable is not the word of God symbolized by the seed, but the response and receptivity of the audience symbolized by the soil, and presents an application-oriented exegesis and an analysis of the four types of soil (audience). The third chapter presents theological applications rooted in the original application of the Parable of the Sower, audience exegesis, and relevance categories for communicating the parable of the sower to contemporary audiences. The final chapter suggests practical application directions for contemporary audiences and various forms of preaching on the parable of the sower.

본 연구의 핵심 논지는 비유 장르의 해석학적 원리와 원 적용의 핵심 적 특징을 살펴보고, 이를 기초로 하여, 마태복음 13장 1-23절과 누가 복음 8장 4-15절에 있는 씨 뿌리는 비유를 씨(말씀)가 아닌 토양(청중) 에 초점을 두어 주해 과정과 적실성 과정을 진행하고, 씨 뿌리는 비유 본문의 장르가 살아있는 설교의 적용과 설교 형태를 설교자들에게 제 안하는 것이다. 이러한 중심 목적을 견지하면서, 본 논문의 첫 번째 장은 성경의 비유 장르가 함의하고 있는 해석학적 원리와 저자 의도적 의미와 비유 장르 에 적합한 적용의 방향을 논의하고자 한다. 두 번째 장은‘씨뿌리는 비유’ 의 목적이 씨가 상징하는 하나님의 말씀이 아닌 토양이 상징하는 청중 의 반응과 수용성에 있다는 관점을 가지고 해석을 시도하였고, 적용지 향적 주해와 네 종류 밭(청중)에 대한 분석을 제시하였다. 세 번째 장은 씨 뿌리는 비유를 현대 청중들에게 전달하기 위한 원 적용에 근거한 신 학적 적용, 청중 주해와 적실성 범주 분석을 제시하였다. 마지막 장에 서는 현 청중을 위한 비유 장르 본문이 일하는 실천적 적용 방향들과 씨 뿌리는 비유의 다양한 설교 여러 형태들을 제안하였다.
