This study faces the reality that Sunday worship is weakening, analyzes and compares the “The Directory for Worship” held by each Korean Presbyterian denomination from the theological perspective of Sunday Worship, and seeks a direction to renew the principles and spirit of worship. Recently, worship studies have begun to take interest in the rediscovery of the day of worship called “Sunday” and Sunday Worship theology due to emergency situations such as COVID-19. The more a sense of crisis is experienced in the practice of Sunday worship, which is the identity of the church and Christians, the more the spirit and exemplary principles for Sunday worship are established so as not to deviate from the purpose or essence of worship. n other words, worship guidelines should be considered more important. The Korean Presbyterian Church has an excellent tool called “The Directory for Worship”. However, today’s Presbyterian Church Sunday service does not utilize the worship model well. The first Korean Presbyterian Church Directory for Worship is based on the Presbyterian Church in America’s Directory for Worship, which is based on the Westminster Directory for Worship(1644). Uncritically accepting past worship models is not without problems, but the unchangeable foundation of worship models needs to be maintained and continued. Of course, there are parts that need to be updated and reflected. We analyzed and compared the “The Directory for Worship” in the constitutions of five denominations: the Presbyterian Church of Korea, Tonghap, Hapdong, Kosin, Baekseok, and the Presbyterian Church of Korea. The fact that they all have “Models for Worship” is evaluated as good. It was discovered that the parts about “Sunday” and “Sunday Service Theology” need further improvement. In this article, the value and application of the “The Directory for Worship” are also newly presented. We hope to newly discover that the “The Directory for Worship” is an important tool that shows the theological principles and directions of worship when writing or executing a Sunday worship service book, and to actively utilize it.

본 연구는 주일예배가 약화되어 가는 현실을 직시하며, 한국 장로교 각 교단이 보유한“예배모범”을 주일예배신학적 관점에서 분석하고 비교하여, 예배의 원리와 정신을 새롭게 갱신하는 방향을 모색하는데 있다. 최근 예배학은 코로나19와 같은 비상상황을 겪으며“주일”이라 는 예배의 날과 주일예배신학에 대한 재발견에 관심을 갖기 시작했다. 교회와 그리스도인의 정체성과도 같은 주일예배 실행에 위기감을 경험 할수록 예배의 목적이나 본질을 이탈하지 않도록 주일예배를 위한 정신 과 모범적인 원리, 즉 예배지침을 더욱 중요하게 여겨야 할 것이다. 한국 장로교는“예배모범”이라는 탁월한 도구를 갖고 있다. 그러나, 오늘의 장로교 주일예배는 예배모범이 잘 활용되고 있지 못하고 있다. 한국 장로교 예배모범의 효시는 웨스트민스터 예배모범(1644)을 토대 로 한 미국장로교의 예배모범에 근간을 둔다. 과거의 예배모범을 무비 판적으로 수용하는 것도 문제가 없는 것은 아니지만, 변할 수 없는 예 배의 모범의 근간은 유지되고 지속될 필요가 있다. 물론 새롭게 갱신하 여 반영할 부분도 존재한다. 대한예수교장로회 통합, 합동, 고신, 백석, 한국기독교장로회의 5개 교단 헌법에 나타난“예배모범”을 분석하고 비교하였는데 모두“예배모범”을 보유한 점은 잘된 것으로 평가한다. “주일”이나“주일예배신학”에 대한 부분은 더 보완이 필요함을 발견하 였다. 본 글에서는“예배모범”의 가치와 적용점도 새롭게 제시하였다. “예배모범”이 주일예배예식서를 작성하거나 실행하는데 있어, 예배신 학적 원리나 방향을 보여주는 중요한 도구라는 사실을 새롭게 발견하 고, 이를 적극 활용하기를 기대한다.
