As the need for sustainable management of businesses to address climate change and environmental issues increases, this study focuses on analyzing the impact of institutional isomorphism pressures on corporate performance. Based on the theoretical background that corporate behavior can be influenced by institutional factors, the research model was designed to analyze the effects of institutional pressures (regulative, normative, and mimetic pressures) on eco-innovation and circular economy performance. An empirical analysis targeting domestic companies was conducted to examine the differential effects of institutional pressures. The study found that normative and mimetic pressures positively influence eco-innovation, while regulative pressure showed no significant effect. Although institutional pressures do not directly impact circular economy performance, it was concluded that they can enhance performance indirectly through eco-innovation. Furthermore, eco-innovation was found to have a significant impact on both environmental and economic performance. These results suggest the need to re-evaluate the relationship between institutional pressures and eco-innovation, clarify the connection between eco-innovation and circular economy performance, and provide direction for businesses’ sustainable management.

기후 변화와 환경 문제 해결을 위한 기업의 지속 가능한 경영의 필요성이 증대되고 있다. 본 연구는 이 러한 최근의 경영환경에서 제도적 동형화 압력이 기업의 성과에 미치는 영향에 대한 분석을 다루고 있다. 기업의 행동이 제도적 환경요소에 의해 작동될 수 있다는 이론적 배경을 바탕으로 제도적 압력(규제적, 규 범적, 모방 압력)이 친환경 혁신과 순환경제 성과에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위한 연구모형을 설계하였다. 기업의 친환경경영 추진과 그 성과에 대해 상황판단이 가능한 국내 제조업 재직자를 대상으로 한 설문기 반의 실증 분석을 통해 제도적 압력의 차별적 효과를 검토하였다. 분석도구로는 PLS(Partial Least Squares) 기반의 구조방정식 모형을 활용하였다. 분석 결과는 규범적 압력과 모방 압력이 친환경혁신에 긍정적인 영향을 미치지만, 규제적 압력의 효과는 유의미하지 않음을 보였다. 제도적 압력이 순환경제 성과에 직접 적인 영향을 미치지 않지만, 친환경혁신을 통해 간접적으로 성과를 향상시킬 수 있다는 결과가 도출되었 다. 또한, 친환경혁신은 환경 성과와 경제적 성과 모두에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러 한 결과는 제도적 압력과 친환경혁신의 관계를 재조명할 필요성을 시사하며, 친환경혁신과 순환경제 성과 간의 관계를 명확히 하고, 기업의 지속 가능한 경영을 위한 방향성을 제시하는 데 의의가 있다.
