The trickle-down economy of the Korean conservative right-wing government was not positive for income redistribution in favor of the upper class in the economic sphere consisting of the wealthy and large corporations. This policy can stimulate economic growth under certain conditions, but the effect is not evenly transmitted to all classes. In contrast, the trickle-up economy of the Korean progressive left government does not positively affect growth in favor of support for the middle-class and common people. Theoretically, it may be desirable to resolve economic and social inequality, but it slows or retreats economic growth by shrinking corporate engines. In reality, it is difficult for the progressive left government to turn a blind eye to the trickle-down effect, just as it is difficult for the conservative right government of Korea to completely ignore the trickle-up effect. Therefore, various policy approaches are needed when considering the limitations of the theory and the complexity of practical application. Recognizing this, it is necessary to recognize the theoretical limitations of the trickle-down economy and the trickle-up economy when establishing economic policy, and to apply the correlation between economic growth and income redistribution in a realistic and flexible manner. The direction is not to focus on only one side, but to aim both up and down so that the water does not accumulate on either side.
