The purpose of this paper is to investigate cultural history and life history through data analysis of Injae Ilrok, a diary written by Cho Geuk-seon from the age of 15 to 29. Frequency studies of vocabulary or information have rarely been applied to classical materials such as Chinese characters. This study sought to contribute to various studies based on data from classical materials through a data-oriented approach to classical materials. Jo Geuk-seon was a writer of the late Joseon Dynasty who recognized the trivial details of everyday life as very meaningful pieces. Rather than focusing on a specific event to the extent that all daily life is included, the focus was on recording everything that happened on a daily basis. Cho Geuk-seon recognized that each day’s daily life had great meaning and recorded the trivial details of daily life at random. This serves as evidence that the talent log has value as data. Data must be a vast pool of information from which information can be derived, and meaningful results can be derived when data is randomly extracted. This study focused on the frequency of ‘酒’, which was frequently used in talent logs. The frequency of ‘酒’ is 3,723, and the adjacent vocabulary ‘飮酒’ appears 142 times, hostess 酒肴 118 times, and 酒果 71 times. Eleven times were written about the ancestral rites, and the process and events of preparing Jeju according to the ancestral rite schedule are described, helping to understand the life and cultural history of the time.

이 논문의 목적은 조극선이 15세부터 29세까지 기록한 일기체 자료인 『인재일록』의 데이터 분석을 통해 문화사 및 생활사를 구명하는데 목적 이 있다. 어휘나 정보의 빈도수 연구가 한문 자료와 같은 고전 자료에 적용된 경우는 거의 없는 수준이다. 본 연구는 고전 자료에 데이터적인 접근을 통해, 고전 자료의 데이터 기반으로 하는 다양한 연구에 기여하고 자하였다. 조극선은 조선 후기 문인으로 일상을 사소한 일들을 매우 의미 있는 조각으로 인식했다. 모든 일상이 담겨있을 정도로 특정한 사건을 중심으로 서술했다기보다는 하루하루의 모든 일들을 기록하는 중점을 두었다. 조극선은 하루하루의 일상들이 모여서 큰 의미를 지닌다고 인식 했고 일상의 사소한 것들을 무작위로 기록했다. 이는 『인재일록』이 데이 터로서의 가치를 지니고 있다는 증거가 된다. 데이터는 정보를 이끌어 낼 수 있는 정보풀이 방대해야 하고 무작위적으로 데이터를 추출했을 때 의미 있는 결과를 도출할 수 있다. 본 연구는 『인재일록』에서 많이 쓰인 ‘酒’의 빈도수에 주목하였다. ‘酒’의 빈도수는 3,723이며 인접한 어 휘인 ‘飮酒’는 142회, 안주인 酒肴는 118회, 酒果는 71회가 나온다. 祭酒 는 11회가 쓰였으며 제사 일정에 맞게 제주를 준비하는 과정과 사건들이 기술되어 있어서 당시 생활사 및 문화사를 이해하는 데 도움을 준다.
