The purpose of this study is to consider the vocabulary repository shown in the AI poetry collection “The Reason for Writing Poetry”. To achieve these research objectives, we construct the following research questions. The source of the data reviews Roman Jacobson’s paper and puts forward three hypotheses. First, humans are not completely free actors when operating language. Second, language operates with the dual characteristics of choice and combination. Third, for humans, language selection and combination take place in the repository of vocabulary. Based on Roman Jacobson’s discussion that humans are not completely free actors when operating languages, SIA also confirmed that they are not completely free creators when creating poems in that they operate languages based on the meta-language of Korean and Korean poetry. Through the arrangement and analysis of vocabulary in AI, it was possible to infer that many vocabulary words were borrowed from Kim Ki-rim’s “The Sun’s Custom” This study is expected to be an example of a study that reviewed AI's poetry writing from a linguistic perspective.

본 연구는 AI 시집 『시를 쓰는 이유』에 나타난 어휘 저장소를 고찰하는 것을 연구 목적으로 삼는다. 로만 야콥슨의 ｢언어의 두 측면과 실어증의 두 유형｣에서 환기할 수 있는 그의 언어학 전반에 대한 견해를 세 가지로 요약․정리하였다. 그리고 이에 포함된 내용과 언어를 운용하는 시아(SIA) 의 현실 문제를 기반으로 하여 시아(SIA)가 쓴 시편들의 어휘를 자음 순 으로 나열하고 분석하였다. 시아(SIA)가 기사와 백과사전으로 한국어를 학습한 뒤, 한국의 근현대 시 12,000편이라는 메타언어에 기반하여 언어 를 프로그래밍하고 있다는 점에서 시를 창작할 때 완전히 자유로운 창작 주체가 아니라는 점을 재차 확인하였다. AI 시 창작 기술로 실행된 『시를 쓰는 이유』의 시편을 전체적으로 살펴본 결과 어휘의 상당수가 김기림의 『태양의 풍속』에서 차용되었다는 점을 시 어휘들의 나열된 개수와 대표 적인 시 분석을 통해 유추할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 AI의 시 창작 글쓰기를 언어학의 관점에서 검토한 연구가 거의 없는 실정 속에서 미흡하게나마 AI 시아(SIA)가 선택하고 결합하여 운용한 어휘 저장소를 고찰할 수 있기 를 기대한다.
