This study analyzed the current status of resident safety education in Chungbuk and suggested problems discovery and improvement plans. The problems that emerged as a result of the analysis are as follows. First, uniform and biased safety education is being conducted. Second, the feedback function is insufficient, and safety accident occurrence and safety education evaluation results are not reflected. Third, the safety education operation system is insufficient. Laws and organizations related to safety education are insufficient and there is no control tower. Fourth, the safety education management system is insufficient. Basic data related to safety education have not been accumulated, and the current self-evaluation needs to be improved. Based on the analysis results, the following development plans can be suggested for resident safety education. First, it is the improvement of safety education planning and program development power. Second, it is necessary to create an efficient safety education system through the establishment of laws and organizations. Third, an objective and fair management system must be established.

본 연구는 충북의 주민안전교육 현황을 분석하고 문제점 발굴 및 발전방안을 제시하였다. 안전교육의 현황분석 결과 나타난 문제점을 제시하면 다음과 같다. 첫째 획일적이고 편중된 안전교육이 이루어지고 있다. 지역적 특색이 반영되고 있지 못하며, 다양한 콘텐츠개발이 미흡하며 특정영역에 편중되어 있다. 둘째, 피드백 기능이 미흡한데 안전사고 발생과 안전교육 평가결과가 안전교육에 반영되지 않고 있다. 셋째, 안전교육과 관련된 법령과 조직이 불충분하고 운영체계가 미흡하다. 넷째, 안전교육 관리체계가 미흡하다. 안전교육과 관련된 기초자료가 부재하며, 현행 자체평가의 개선도 필요하다. 또한 수요자 보다는 공급자 중심의 안전교육이 실시되고 있다. 분석결과를 바탕으로 다음과 같은 발전방안을 제시할 수 있다. 우선, 안전교육의 기획과 프로그램개발력의 제고이다. 이를 위해 지역특성에 맞는 프로그램의 개발과 피드백 기능의 강화, 다양한 교재교구의 개발이 필요하다. 둘째, 법령과 조직 구축으로 효율적인 안전교육 시스템을 만들어야 한다. 셋째, 평가시스템의 개선, 기초자료 확충으로 객관적이고 공정한 관리체계 확립이 필요하다.
