This study was conducted to verify the mediating effect of sexual perception in the relationship between subjective well-being perceived by the elderly and successful aging in Korean society. To this end, a related questionnaire was conducted on 120 elderly people aged 65 or older and analyzed according to the procedure. The results of the analysis showed that, first, subjective well-being perceived by the elderly had a significant positive effect on sexual perception. Second, sexual perception perceived by the elderly had a significant positive effect on successful aging. Third, subjective well-being perceived by the elderly had a significant positive effect on successful aging. Finally, sexual perception was found to have a partial mediating effect in the relationship between subjective well-being perceived by the elderly and successful aging. This study explained the need to pay attention to improving the quality of life of the elderly in the present and future by activating the sexual discourse of the elderly, which is taboo in Korean society.

본 연구는 한국사회의 노인이 인식하는 주관적 안녕감과 성공적 노화의 관계에서 성 인식의 매개효 과를 검증하고자 수행되었다. 이를 위해서 한국 지역사회 65세이상 노인 120명을 대상으로 성 인식 관련 설문을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 노인들이 인식하는 주관적 안녕감은 성 인식에 정적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 노인들이 인식하는 성 인식은 성공적 노화에 유의한 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 노인들이 인식하는 주관적 안녕감은 성공적 노화에 정적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 노인이 인식하는 주관적 안녕감과 성공적 노화의 관계에서 성 인식은 부분 매개효과가 있었다. 따라서 본 연구는 한국사회에서 금기시 되고 있는 노인의 성 관련 담론의 활성화를 통해 주관적 안녕감을 높이고 궁극적으로 성공적인 노화에 긍정적인 영향을 줄 수 있을 것이다.
