Purpose: This study aimed to examine the factors influencing the subjective health status of elderly Koreans during the COVID-19 pandemic, using the PRECEDE-PROCEED model. Methods: Data were obtained from the 8th wave of the 2020 Korean Aging Panel Survey, conducted between August and December 2020. The survey included 6,488 participants, among whom 4,405 were aged 65 or older (unweighted n=4,405; weighted n=8,337,339). Hierarchical multiple regression analysis was used to examine the data. Results: The most significant factor affecting subjective health status was maintaining contact with close acquaintances. This was followed by undergoing a national health checkup and engaging in regular exercise at least once a week. Conclusion: The results underscore the adverse impact of social disconnection on the subjective health status of elderly Koreans during the pandemic. Therefore, promoting social interactions and ensuring access to regular health checkups and exercise programs are crucial to supporting the health of this population, particularly during public health emergencies like the COVID-19 pandemic.

목적: 본 연구는 PRECEDE-PROCEED 모델을 기반으로 COVID-19 팬데믹 기간 동안 한국 노인의 주관적 건강 상태에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하는 것이다. 연구 방법: 데이터는 2020년 8월부터 12월까지 실시된 한국 고령화 패널조사 8차 조사에서 총 표본 6,488명 중 65세 이상 4,405명(unweighted n=4,405, weighted n=8,337,339)을 대상으로 수집하였으며, 위계적 다중 회귀 분석을 사용하여 분석하였다. 결과: 가장 영향력 있는 요인은 가까운 지인과의 만남이었으며, 국가 건강 검진을 받고 일주일에 한 번 이상 규칙적으로 운동하는 것이 그 뒤를 이었다. 결론: 본 연구의 결과는 팬데믹 기간 동안의 사회적 단절이 한국 노인의 주관적 건강상태에 부정적인 영향을 미쳤음을 시사한다. 따라서 정기적인 건강 검진과 운동 프로그램을 통해 사회적 관계를 증진하며, 지속적인 건강 관리를 지원하는 것은 노년층의 전반적인 건강을 유지하는 데 필수적인 요소라 할 수 있다.
