The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of adolescents' media usage literacy on life satisfaction through self-esteem, critical media understanding ability in the path. The subjects of this study were 676 students who responded to the data on the Korea Media Panel Survey 2021. First, there was a positive correlation between media usage literacy, critical media understanding, self-esteem, adolescents' life satisfaction. Second, there was a partial mediating effect of self-esteem in the relationship between PC literacy, smart device literacy and adolescents' life satisfaction. Therefore, to improve adolescents' life satisfaction, it is necessary to educate them to use PC and smart devices and self-esteem must be considered.. Finally, intervention measures to improve adolescents' life satisfaction and the implications of the study were discussed.

본 연구는 청소년의 미디어 활용 능력(PC 활용능력, 스마트기기 활용 능력)이 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영 향을 알아보고 그 경로에서 비판적 미디어 이해능력과 자아존중감의 매개효과를 검증하는데 목적이 있다. 연구대 상은 정보통신정책연구원에서 수집하는 한국미디어패널 데이터(Korean Media Panel Data) 2021년 자료에 응답 한 학생 청소년 676명이다. 첫째, 미디어 활용능력과 비판적 미디어 이해능력, 자아존중감, 삶의 만족도 간에는 정 적 상관관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 자아존중감은 PC 활용능력 및 스마트기기 활용능력과 삶의 만족도 간의 관계에서 부분매개효과를 갖는 것으로 나타났으며, 비판적 미디어 이해능력의 경우 유의한 영향력을 보이지 않았다. 이는 디지털 사회에서 청소년의 삶의 만족도 향상을 위해 PC 및 스마트기기 활용 능력을 제고하는 동시에 자아존중감 을 함께 증진시키는 노력이 필요함을 나타낸다. 마지막으로 개선 방안 및 한계를 논의하였다.
