In the era of Cheon Il Guk, the thought and practices of the Family Federation have newly developed, and accordingly, Unification Thought must also evolve. Unification Thought is not complete or fixed but remains open to future development. In the era of Cheon Il Guk, the Family Federation has made progress in the areas of gender equality, spiritual movement, and the environmental movement. Therefore, Unification Thought needs to develop in the following ways: First, Unification Thought should advance in the direction of harmony and unity between men and women as equals. Second, Unification Thought should establish consistency between ontology and epistemology and develop to adequately explain spiritual movements. Third, Unification Thought should evolve to support the Family Federation’s environmental movements. Fourth, Unification Thought should progress through comparative studies with other religions, philosophies, and academic disciplines. Fifth, Unification Thought as Head-Wing Thought should develop toward building a world based on interdependence, mutual prosperity, and universally shared values. When Unification Thought develops in this way in the era of Cheon Il Guk, it can contribute to the construction of a peaceful world centered on Heavenly Parent.

천일국 시대에 가정연합의 사상과 실천은 새롭게 발전했으므로 이에 따라 통일 사상도 발전해야 한다. 통일사상은 완성되어 고정된 것이 아니라, 미래의 발전에 열 려 있다. 천일국 시대 가정연합의 사상과 실천은 남녀평등, 영성, 환경의 분야에서 발전하였다. 이에 통일사상은 다음과 같이 발전할 필요가 있다. 첫째, 통일사상은 남 성과 여성의 동등한 조화와 통일의 방향으로 발전해야 한다. 둘째, 통일사상은 존재 론과 인식론의 정합성을 확보하고, 영성운동을 타당하게 설명할 수 있도록 발전해야 한다. 셋째, 통일사상은 가정연합의 환경운동을 뒷받침할 수 있도록 발전해야 한다. 넷째, 통일사상은 다른 종교, 사상, 타학문과 비교연구를 통해 발전해야 한다. 다섯 째, 통일사상은 두익사상으로서 공생·공영·공의주의 세계를 건설하는 방향으로 발전 해야 한다. 천일국 시대에 통일사상이 이렇게 발전할 때 하늘부모님을 중심한 평화 세계 건설에 이바지할 수 있다.
