This study examines the adaptation process and career competency development of international students participating in Living Lab courses in South Korea. In particular, it focuses on the transformative effects of Living Lab courses, highlighting how these experiences transcend mere participation to become meaningful learning and social practices through Transformative Learning. Living Lab courses provide international students with opportunities to explore and solve societal issues in Korea, thereby enhancing their cultural understanding and collaboration skills. Through this process, students reconstruct their identities and mindsets while strengthening practical career competencies. The aim of this study is to empirically investigate the impact of Living Lab courses on international students' adaptation and career preparedness, offering insights to inform international student support policies and higher education improvements.

본 연구는 외국인 유학생들이 한국에서 리빙랩(Living Lab) 수업에 참여하면서 경험한 적응 과정과 취업역량 성장에 미치는 영향을 다룬다. 특히, 리빙랩 수업이 유학생들의 학습과정에 서 전환학습(Transformative Learning)을 통해 단순한 경험을 넘어 의미 있는 학습과 사회 적 실천으로 이어지는 효과에 주목한다. 리빙랩 수업은 유학생들에게 한국 사회의 문제를 탐 구하고 해결하는 과정에서 문화적 이해와 협업 능력을 증진시키며, 이 과정에서 학생들은 자 신들의 정체성과 사고방식을 재구성하고 실질적인 취업역량을 강화할 수 있다. 이 연구의 목 적은 리빙랩 수업이 유학생들의 적응 및 취업 준비에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 규명하고, 이를 바탕으로 유학생 지원 정책 및 고등교육 개선에 기여할 수 있는 시사점을 제시하는 것이다.
