The Oriental fruit fly (Bactrocera dorsalis (Hendel)) is a subtropical insect pest belonging to Tephritidae, and causes severe damage to essential crops such as citrus and mango. This species is currently not found in Korea and is listed as one of the most banned pests subject to quarantine. The concerns about the invasion of Oriental fruit flies has grown due to climate change. Proactive measures are needed against this pest, which can severly affect on citrus fruits, particularly in Jeju, a subtropical region. When these banned fruit flies invade, immidiate control measures for their host plants are required. Therefore, information about the host plants in advance is crucial. In this paper, based on the previously reported list of representative Oriental fruit fly host plants (USDA list of 432 species), added 66 new species of host plants, resulting in a t otal o f 498 species. W e also e valuated the b reeding risk o f Oriental f ruit f lies on m aj or host plants found in the Jeju area. The supplementary material provides information on 228 native plants from the Jeju region that could serve as potential hosts for Oriental fruit flies.

오리엔탈과실파리(Oriental fruit fly, Bactrocera dorsalis (Hendel))는 파리목 (Diptera) 과실파리과(Tephritidae)에 속한 아열대성 곤충으로 감귤류를 비롯한 망고 등 중요한 농작물의 과실(열매)을 직접 가해 하는 해충이다. 아직 국내에 분포 않는 종으 로 최고의 금지급 검역대상해충 중 하나로 취급하고 있다. 기후변화 등에 따라서 오리 엔탈과실파리의 침입이 우려되고 있는 사항 으로 특히 아열대지역인 제주에서는 감귤에 치명적인 영향을 미칠 수 있는 이 해충에 대한 대비가 필요한 실정이다. 금지급 과실 파리류가 침입했을 때 기주식물에 대한 방 제조치가 우선적으로 필요하기 때문에 사전 에 기주식물에 대한 정보는 매우 필요하다. 따라서 본고에서는 기존 보고된 대표 오리 엔탈과실파리 기주식물 목록(미국 USDA 목록) 432종을 바탕으로 새로 보고된 기주 식물 66종을 추가하여 새로 498종을 제시하 였다. 또한 제주지역에서 발견되는 주요 기 주식물에 대하여 번식 위험도를 평가하였다. 더불어 제주지역에 자생하는 오리엔탈과실 파리 기주식물 및 유관식물 228종에 대한 기초정보를 보충자료에 제시하였다.
