This study aims to analyze the trends in ChatGPT-related academic research published in South Korea from 2023 to 2024, identify important keywords and topics, and suggest future research directions. A total of 169 academic papers on ChatGPT from KCI-index were analyzed using keyword network analysis and topic modeling analysis. The findings indicate that ChatGPT has been primarily discussed as a tool for enhancing education and research productivity, with "AI" and "education" identified as central nodes in the keyword network analysis. Additionally, topic modeling analysis revealed five main research topics related to ChatGPT. The first topic explored the potential for developing human learning capabilities through ChatGPT, while the second one focused on its applications and effects in the education sector. The third topic addressed ethical issues and the need for legal regulations, the fourth examined the feasibility of replacing decision-making processes, and the fifth centered on users’ intention for sustainable utilization. The analysis of the changes in topics over time showed that initial research has focused on the technical possibilities and educational applications of ChatGPT, while recent studies have shifted toward emphasizing ethical concerns, data reliability, and user sustainability. However, despite ChatGPT's usefulness in personalized learning, enhancing research productivity, and supporting document preparation, challenges such as privacy protection, data bias, and ethical issues have also been highlighted from the results. This study systematically analyzes the major trends in ChatGPT research, identifies limitations in existing studies, and proposes future research directions and policy implications. Further research is needed to explore the long-term effects of ChatGPT usage and its concrete applications across various industries.

본 연구는 2023년부터 2024년까지 국내에서 발표된 ChatGPT 관련 학술 연구의 동향을 분석하고 주요 키워드 및 토픽을 도출하여 향후 연 구 방향을 제시하는 데 목적을 두었다. KCI 등재 학술지에서 ChatGPT를 주제로 한 169편의 논문을 추출하여 그 연구들을 대상으로 키워드 네 트워크 분석과 토픽 모델링을 수행하였다. 연구 결과, ChatGPT는 주로 교육과 연구 생산성을 향상시키는 도구로 논의되었으며, 키워드 네트워 크 분석에서는 ‘AI’와 ‘교육’이 핵심 연결노드로 나타났다. 또한, 토픽 모델링을 통해 ChatGPT와 관련된 5개의 주요 연구 토픽을 도출하였다. 첫 번째 토픽은 ChatGPT를 활용한 인간 능력 계발 가능성을 다루며, 두 번째는 교육 분야에서의 활용과 효과를 분석하였다. 세 번째는 윤리 적 문제와 법적 수용 필요성, 네 번째는 의사결정 과정에서의 대체 가능성, 다섯 번째는 사용자의 지속적 사용 의도에 초점을 두고 있음을 확인 할 수 있었다. 연도별 토픽의 변화를 분석한 결과, 2023년 초기 연구는 ChatGPT의 기술적 가능성과 교육적 활용에 집중되었으나, 2024년에는 윤리적 문제와 데이터 신뢰성 및 사용자 지속성을 강조하는 방향으로 변화하고 있는 것으로 파악되었다. 또한, ChatGPT는 학습자 중심의 맞 춤형 학습, 연구 생산성 향상, 문서 작성 지원 등에서 유용하게 활용되고 있음에도 불구하고 개인정보 보호와 데이터 편향성, 윤리적 문제 등 여 러 도전 과제도 제기되었다. 본 연구는 국내 ChatGPT 연구의 주요 흐름을 체계적으로 분석하여 기존 연구의 한계를 파악하고, 미래 연구 방향성과 정책적 시사점을 제 안하였다. ChatGPT 활용의 장기적 효과와 다양한 산업 분야에서의 구체적 적용 방안을 모색하기 위한 후속 연구가 필요한 것으로 판단된다.
