This study was conducted for the purpose of exploring the life experiences of early adult drug addicts and understanding the meaning of life in the stories they experienced. The data collection period was from October 2023 to April 2024, with three research participants, and 4-5 in-depth interviews were conducted in accordance with the five stages of research collection and analysis suggested by Clandinin and Connelly. The results of the study showed that the meaning of the participants' life experiences was, first, an echo in the mirror. Second, painful growing pains. Third, a shackle encountered while dreaming of fake happiness. Fourth, at the crossroads of life and death. Fifth, recovery is a ray of light. In order to present this, this study was divided into personal, practical, and social legitimacy, and the theoretical understanding, situation, and social impact of this study were derived. The research significance discovered through this study is as follows. First, by vividly exploring the stories of drug experiences that have become socially problematic recently, empirical grounds were presented to increase the understanding of drug addiction. Second, it was expanded to enable a deeper understanding of the overall meaning of life of drug addicts, the meaning of life of each participant, and the experiences of meaning of life according to pain and suffering tolerance. Third, it dealt with the necessity of community in the recovery process and the characteristics of addicted families through practical stories about craving and coping with high-risk situations. Fourth, it provided data to understand their lives from the perspective of addicts in order to create a society that lives together with addicts. In addition, the counseling implications of this study can be utilized in the counseling field to build a manual for drug addiction, recovery, and rehabilitation interventions, and can be used as basic data to establish a foundation for interest in, intervention methods for, and systems for drug addicts.

본 연구는 성인 초기 마약 중독자 개인의 삶의 경험을 탐구하고 그들이 경험한 이야기 속 삶의 의미 이해를 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 자료 수집 기간은 2023년 10월부터 2024년 4 월까지 세 명의 연구 참여자를 대상으로 4-5회 심층 면담을 통해 Clandinin과 Connelly가 제시한 다섯 단계의 연구 수집과 분석에 따라 수행하였다. 연구 결과 참여자들의 삶의 경험 의 의미는 첫째, 거울 속 메아리. 둘째, 너무 아픈 성장통. 셋째, 가짜 행복을 꿈꾸며 만난 굴 레. 넷째, 삶과 죽음의 갈림길에서. 다섯째, 회복은 한 줄기 빛으로이다. 이를 제시하기 위해 개인적, 실제적, 사회적 정당성으로 나누어 이 연구가 이론적 이해와 상황 그리고 사회에 미 치는 영향에 대해 기술하였다. 본 연구를 통해 발견된 연구 의의는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 최근 사회적으로 문제가 되는 약물 경험 이야기를 생생하게 탐구함으로써 약물중독에 대한 이해를 높이는 경험적 근거를 제시하였다. 둘째, 마약 중독자의 전반적인 삶의 의미와 참여자 개인 의 인생 의미, 그리고 고통과 고통 감내에 따른 삶의 의미의 경험 이야기들을 심층적으로 이 해할 수 있도록 확장하였다. 셋째, 갈망과 고위험 상황 대처 등에 관한 실질적인 이야기를 통 해 회복과정에서 공동체의 필요성과 중독 가족의 성격에 관해 다루었다. 넷째, 중독자와 함 께 살아가는 사회를 만들기 위해 중독자의 관점으로 그들의 삶을 이해하는 자료를 제공했다. 또한 본 연구의 상담학적 함의는 상담 현장에서 단약, 회복 및 재활을 위한 개입 등의 메뉴얼 구축에 활용되어 마약 중독자를 위한 관심과 개입 방안, 그리고 제도 등에 관한 토대를 마련 하는 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
