This study aimed to compare and analyze the task designs and requirements for women's hairstyling at the WorldSkills Competition in 2019 and 2022. It explores the changes in regulations and evaluation methods used in both competitions and examines how each event reflects current trends in the beauty industry. In 2019, the competition emphasized creative expression and individual styling freedom, enabling participants to showcase their originality through a diverse range of colors and cuts. In contrast, the 2022 competition focused on practical applicability and commercial viability, prioritizing alignment with the designs and technical accuracy over creativity as the main evaluation criteria. This study seeks to offer valuable insights for competitors and industry professionals preparing for future events by thoroughly analyzing the changes in task configuration shown at the 2022 WorldSkills Competition. Additionally, by comparing the 2019 and 2022 competitions, this paper targets to gain a deeper understanding of evolving global beauty trends and practical requirements, providing perspectives on the future direction and evaluation criteria for upcoming events.
