This study focuses on the transmission and transformation of Arirang, particularly analyzing the creation and significance of Arirang-themed folk songs within the culture of Korean-Chinese communities in China. Arirang has transcended its original status as a simple folk song to become a symbolic cultural heritage that reflects the identity and historical changes of the Korean people. The Korean-Chinese have not only preserved and inherited traditional Arirang but also incorporated regional and contemporary characteristics to create new forms of Arirang culture. Notably, works such as New Arirang, Changbaek's New Arirang, Arirang of a Foreign Land, and New Yanbian Arirang reflect distinct temporal contexts and emotions, merging traditional and modern sensibilities into unique creations. These works have contributed to elevating Arirang from a national folk tradition to a globally recognized cultural icon. Additionally, Miryang Arirang has been widely disseminated within the Korean-Chinese community through performances, broadcasts, and inclusion in school curricula, evolving into a new format that incorporates national sentiment and contemporary changes. Through these processes, Arirang has transcended national boundaries, serving as a cultural bridge connecting regions and eras. In conclusion, Arirang continues to adapt and be recreated in response to changing times, functioning as a key medium that encapsulates national identity while fostering cultural exchange with the world. This ongoing transformation suggests significant potential for Arirang to further expand its value both nationally and globally.

본 연구는 아리랑의 전승과 변화를 중심으로 중국 조선족 문화에서 아리랑 주제 민요의 창작과 그 의의 를 분석하였다. 아리랑은 단순한 민요를 넘어 한민족의 정체성과 시대적 변화를 반영하는 상징적 문화유산 으로 자리 잡았다. 중국 조선족은 전통 아리랑의 계승과 창작을 통해 민족 정체성을 강화하는 동시에 지역 적 시대적 특성을 반영하여 새로운 형태의 아리랑 문화를 창출하였다. 특히 <새 아리랑>, <장백의 새 아리랑>, <타향의 아리랑>, <새 연변아리랑> 등은 각각의 시대적 맥락과 정서를 담아 전통과 현대적 감각 이 융합된 독창적 작품으로 평가된다. 이러한 창작물은 민족 음악의 계승을 넘어 세계적인 민속음악으로서 위상을 확립하는 데 기여하였다. 이와 같은 과정을 통해 아리랑은 민족적 정서를 초월하여 지역과 시대를 연결하는 문화적 교량의 역할을 하고 있다. 결론적으로, 아리랑은 시대적 요구에 따라 지속적으로 변형 재 창조되며, 민족의 정체성을 담아내는 동시에 세계와의 문화적 교류를 이끄는 중요한 매개체로 기능하고 있다. 앞으로도 이러한 변화를 기반으로 아리랑이 민족적 세계적 가치를 동시에 확장해 나갈 가능성이 크다.
